Xenophobia, homophonic, transphobia

1000 replies

spstchmu · 29/06/2026 01:52

Are you gonna do anything about it? Like, i know the line is that shoving the madness in the feminism board means it's not transphobia. And I know it's been done to death but I'm sick of it. It's not acceptable. Xenophobia, racism and homophobia also increasing.
And no. I won't leave. This is the biggest forum of its kind and it needs to represent and respect us all. And care that it's not.

Yep, proved your own point, this one now taken over by the agenda. And it is transphobia, the obsession with generalising fetish and predatory behaviour

Noting that 99% of sex offenders have penises isn't "generalising fetish and predatory behaviour".

If you don't want FWR regulars to reply in defence of FWR, best not start a thread attacking FWR.

Everlore · 30/06/2026 03:05

I really just want to know what the issue is with homophones? I had thought they were an innocuous linguistic concept, I had no idea there use was as bad as racism!
Should I be attempting to remove them from my vocabulary? It might be hard to do but surely worthwhile if I can avoid offending anyone.

Kokoareyouhere · 30/06/2026 03:08

I see the dependable FWR team are out on this thread, as aggressive as usual and scoring own-goals 😀

Using "great" or "grate" is literal violence, dontcha know?

Angelf1sh · 30/06/2026 06:29

Hate drives clicks and the mods want the traffic. They’re never going to do anything about it.

2021x · 30/06/2026 06:30

I have learned something new on this thread.

A Trans Rights Activist will start a thread and equate the conflict between single sex needs and trans needs to homophobia/racism/rightwing etc… to get a reaction.

Spends their time in and out different accounts to wind everything up. Then reports random posts to cause Mumsnet a headache.

I wonder why they do this.

Mumsnet posters can post on any thread, FWR is just an internet board on a forum not a locked room, and pointing out that men who say they are whatever whatever are just stlll men can be done anywhere.

We can say it politely, we can say it angrily, we can spell it out it in kitten fluff or in blood red rage. But the facts remain. Sorry to break it to you, but not one person has ever 'changed sex'.

You seem to enjoy responding to every post with literally zero actual point so back at you.

There are no points to make. It’s the same stuff over and over again.

Do you never think that people who disagree with you have the right to?

You're a cleaner as you've said, with various clients and don't work in a prison how would you know what female prisoners have raised. You don't.

So because i was once a prisoner, I can't now be a cleaner? Do you think prisoners stay in prison forever? Did it occur to you that I might be a cleaner so I can fix my own hours and volunteer for the type of charities that helped me when I was in jail for nearly 3 years? Do you think criminals arent allowed a future?

Lexibletheflexible · 30/06/2026 07:23

Ive seen four posts by one user deleted in this thread. Why are they not banned?

Yes it is the same stuff over and over. Because men aren't women and nothing can ever change that.

We've been asking for a decade for someone, anyone, to show some evidence that challenges the facts, so I am not sure why you think this is FWR posters thinking people do not have a right to disagree. Disagree away, but show some actual evidence. Rather than just personal insults.

But as you say, there are no points to make. So there we go.

Can I ask you something? Were you ever in Greenock? I had a woman on twitter who was a mutual and she told me that, like you, she'd been in prison and the last thing she worried about was trans women. I loved that woman. She was really funny and kind and a great person. The only women's prison she hadn't been in was Greenock. She turned her life around and was a bit like you in that she never had a bad word to say about trans women in Scottish prisons.

But I think she's left twitter and I miss her tbh.

No, I was in Bronzefield. One of the first in there.

Asking on here for a decade.

And yes loads of spare time. I took early retirement and moved to France and now come on here as and when. What of it?

It’s… unusual

As someone that interacts with trans people, men and women, pretty much every day I can’t say I know any that are as Mumsnet describes.

This is a masterclass in failing to understand safeguarding. Most people would presumably say that the males they interact with regularly are not predators. But some males are, and some predatory males fool everyone around them - some can even be charming when they want to be. And even if none of the ones you know personally are predators, some others are. So all males need to stay out of single sex spaces, because the bad ones don't wear badges or a special hat to warn that only they need to be avoided.

Edited

Quite. Most safeguarding protocols are exclusionary by design. Again down my sports club adults are not allowed to share changing rooms with juniors (who generally use the facilities during the daytime). Yes its a bit annoying but everyone understands and supports this policy.

It's quite amusing when a poster bangs on about others spending inordinate amounts of time posting on MN when said poster has written 94 messages on one thread since yesterday.

Indeed. 94 posts to say… Not very much.

I'm a proficient multitasker, what can I say. I even make my own bread and throw pottery and pop down to the Dordogne for lunch, in between posting on the internet. It is very doable.

Out of curiousity and for amusement I'm willing to put in two minutes of not very strenuous work.
