Xenophobia, homophonic, transphobia

Are you gonna do anything about it? Like, i know the line is that shoving the madness in the feminism board means it's not transphobia. And I know it's been done to death but I'm sick of it. It's not acceptable. Xenophobia, racism and homophobia also increasing.
And no. I won't leave. This is the biggest forum of its kind and it needs to represent and respect us all. And care that it's not.

Main character energy flouncers who then don’t flounce and continue to drone on. That’s quite miserable, granted.

Perfectly fine over here. Don’t feel the need to insult rape survivors, and pretty much the majority of posters on the thread, so that’s a win I guess.

Still a ‘YouTube’ error message. Maybe it’s trying to tell you something.

Genuinely curious, for the people that disagree with trans rights (I’m not sure if you are comfortable with being labelled TERFs), why do you tend to ignore the existence of/patronise trans men but vilify trans women?

It’s something I’ve noticed in most Mumsnet discourse surrounding opinions on trans people and always wondered.

You’ve kind of proved the point, that people aren’t actually against trans rights. If they were they would be equally bothered by transmen. The reason why they’re concerned about trans women, is that men pose a threat to women safety.

Still an error.

My connection knows the score. Knows wrong un’s when it sees them and their vids, whatever they contain 🤣.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · Today 21:40

My internet connection is more up on safeguarding than a couple of posters on this thread.

Caught in a bad romance. You're connection is loyal and doesn't want to humiliate you 😅

Oh you reported me for checking grammar!

If you’re going to pull up others for incorrect grammar prepare to have it back. You were a teacher you say? Is that why the Scottish education system is absolutely fucked.

I didn’t report it. Why would I report my own post?
I wonder who did 🙄.

So much interest in strangers genitalia. It's all a bit odd.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Today 22:20

No one is remotely interested in their genitalia, we just want it kept out of female only spaces.

Zero interest in random men's genitalia, hence not wanting it in female spaces.

But unless you ask them to expose themselves, how do you know? I was regularly mistaken for a boy as a child. Should I have been forced to prove I wasn’t?

Humans have been able to correctly sex other humans since the beginning of time without looking at their genitals. Even masculine/feminine presenting, it becomes pretty clear up close and personal and once they’ve opened their mouth to speak.

Does anyone have an original argument for men being allowed into women’s spaces, or examples of actual transphobia, we’re nearly 700 posts in. Anyone?

bignosebignose · Today 22:43

As someone that interacts with trans people, men and women, pretty much every day I can’t say I know any that are as Mumsnet describes.

This is a masterclass in failing to understand safeguarding. Most people would presumably say that the males they interact with regularly are not predators. But some males are, and some predatory males fool everyone around them - some can even be charming when they want to be. And even if none of the ones you know personally are predators, some others are. So all males need to stay out of single sex spaces, because the bad ones don't wear badges or a special hat to warn that only they need to be avoided.

Do you really think the only difference between men and women is genitals?
Have you never noticed that men and women walk differently, sound different, have different proportions in terms of limb length, hip width, jaw and brow shapes and loads of other small differences that might not be conclusive in isolation e.g. the presence/ absence of an adams apple but when taken as a whole can be used to accurately determine someone's sex.
Funny how with all the night time visitors to the large student house I shared for years there was not one single incident of people getting to the seeing genitals point and discovering that the bloke they thought they had pulled was actually a woman or vice versa.
