Why has MN changed colour?

It's awful! About 10 mins ago I refreshed a page and the blue banners changed to a much brighter shade, and the OP is highlighted in grey instead of green, and I hate it. It's too bright. What's happening??

Galaxy A55, latest version of Chrome.

Dark mode is slightly less bright but still rather bright actually! With someone much contrast. And the survey boxes don't go dark so that's a bit shit too.

Well I thought I could tolerate it but the bright blue is now headache inducing!

The green isn't even green. It's a sort of dirty, pale cream colour.

The new blue is causing me really bad eye strain. Who thought this was a good idea?

I just opened MN on my phone and immediately came to Site Stuff to see if anyone else was hating the new colours.

The blue buttons at the bottom of the screen are so, so bright. I’m autistic and really light-sensitive - the colour is genuinely hurting my eyes 😵‍💫

Ugh, that blue is migraine inducing, and too similar to the MNs posts. I suppose they have changed colour too?

Another user who hates the new colours. Bring back the old colours - or let us choose our own.

The new green is more grey than green, and the lilac has been replaced with vomit inducing baby pink. The blue should be for MN posts only.

And why has everyone been changed to blue and pink? Kind of stinks of misogyny and regressive stereotyping.

Home late from work and just trying it, awful, hurts eyes, can’t read it comfortably.

The colours are both kind of washed out and too bright at the same time, I don’t even know how that is possible. That purple box is monstrous. The contrast is all
wrong.

I’m actually finding it harder to read too but that may be my dyslexia… has the change been checked by the accessibility folk?

It looks like Netmums circa 2012.

The previous colours were dated. In a few weeks you'll forget them.

I’ve chosen Magenta and Blue, but (as another poster has said) on a white page they look like the colours of the trans flag.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but has anyone seen the horrendous pink/purple colour contrast against the blue after you've read a thread 🤮😣

You have to be joking. The "new" ones look like the kind of colours we used to see in bathroom suites in the 1980s when coloured acrylic became THE thing. They couldn't be more dated.

I’ll take dated over blaring headache any day.

I’m really struggling to read it in the new colours. Blue on blue is really hard and way too bright!
