To be bored of the trans hate?

DaisyUpsy · 10/07/2023 09:54

Ok, there are extremists (like the punch people in the face person), extremists can be found in many areas of life but is anyone else fed up of the trans stuff constantly being dragged up?

I've seen some ridiculous statements on here recently. Everything gets something added related to trans when it's totally irrelevant. It's getting boring. Trans extremists are not the norm so can we stop pretending they are?

I'm also REALLY bored with being told that I'm a neo-Nazi for having concerns over womens rights and child safeguarding. I am the world's worst neo- nazi - I'm a 50 year old mixed-race woman, working with desperately vulnerable people in the public sector who has never voted Tory in her entire life (and never plans to either). If you're calling me a Nazi because its the worst insult you can think of, I think you've run out of rational arguments.

Proudofitbabe · 10/07/2023 10:25

I'm much more bored of Trans. They represent a tiny minority of people and yet the ideology is everywhere. At work I'm seeing everyone's pronouns, invited to training/talks, events, toilets are open to all.

There is always some new story of men winning beauty pageants, sporting events, brands favoring trans people (usually males!). Vague or anti-feminine language on the rise ie "cis". Rapists let into female prisons on the grounds of self-ID, which some people in positions of power are in favour of because apparently being kind to Trans trumps all logic and reason.

I used to be very "live and let live" on this but fundamentally you cannot change sex, and I find myself increasingly annoyed at the creeping imposition on women's rights, in the name of being kind.

The only hate I see comes from the Trans end, but you will get it from the other side eventually, if you push hard enough.

I haven't seen hate. Since I read the biography of April Ashley when I was a teenager back in the 1970s I have always had huge compassion for trans people. However women are allowed to stand up for the rights of biological women. that is not hate- it is love for women. I support our current gender change laws in England too.

There is a thread running now where people are saying trans women who chest feed need their hard drives checked

There are countless people on here who regularly try and imply trans women are sexual offenders

its disgusting

OneTC · 10/07/2023 10:26

I consider myself to be GC and I do not consider myself transphobic.

There are posts on Mumsnet, often deleted but often not, that I consider to be pretty transphobic though, especially where it comes to attacking some individuals as if they individually represent current trans ideology.

I have no problem with people being trans, I'm happy to observe pronouns, a bit of reality denial, but I draw the line at legal recognition or accommodation.

I agree. I wish all that anger could be directed towards actual issues. Most rapes are by cis men, no one is on here ranting about that.

Most rapes are committed by males. There’s no need to add in ‘cis’ anything, we know what a male is regardless of identity language and politics.

SilkTrees · 10/07/2023 10:27

Iamnobirdandnonetensresme · 10/07/2023 09:56

With respect, I disagree. I work in the public sector and the influence of the trans lobby is huge and incredibly damaging to women, children and safeguarding.

This, exactly.

YANBU, it’s why most under 30’s don’t touch this site with a barge pole. Needlessly hateful, but then again the general demographic on AIBU especially feeds into it

You obviously don't know how many under 30's think.

I hate men with nipple fetishes putting their nipples into babies mouths pretending to 'breast feed' them, I'm not going to lie.

I hate girls having their breasts removed, I'm not going to lie.

I hate criminals [attempted murder no less] who were given a life sentence but released on licence, telling crowds in London to Punch a TERF, and who the MET don't bother even investigating as it's just women innit, I'm not going to lie.

I hate men who commit all sorts of sexual assaults being transferred into women's prisons, putting all women there at risk, I'm not going to lie.

I hate women being called any number of derogatory terms from Bonus Hole to Chest Feeder to Gestator to Birthing Parent, I'm not going to lie.

I hate to see women who requested single sex care being sent a man who says he is a woman, I'm not going to lie.

I hate to see women who are followed into female toilets at work by a man, and having to apologise whilst he records it, all for saying that the tampons are not for him, I'm not going to lie.

I hate Scottish Politicians going on protests and standing in front of Decapitate TERFs signs, I'm not going to lie.

To be honest, if you love all those things and thousands more, I think you need a word with yourself, I'm not going to lie.

What's worst is that your list is so far from exhaustive.

You didn't even mention the way children are being drugged and mutilated.
You didn't even mention that normal people are losing their jobs and livelihoods for 'misgendering' a man with a beard because they should have known he was a 'woman'.
You didn't even mention that children are being taught to hate themselves and change everything about them instead of accept themselves.
You didn't even mention the way parents are manipulated into allowing the so called 'medical care' for their children because "do you want a trans son or a dead daughter".

I don't know if Mumsnet has a character limit but you'd probably reach it long before you were able to complete your list.

All rape is committed by people with penises.
That is the definition of rape.
Transwomen have exactly the same relative % of committing sexual assault as cis men.
Of course cis men commit the majority of rapes: they are the majority demography with a penis.

MN is hardly known for a laissez fairs attitude to rape, sexual assault or violence against women and girls.

There is a high traffic of conversation about Transwomen because it is at the centre of changing laws etc. That happens.

Of course I do, the stats are clear too

Why else do you think that the average age on AIBU is 55-60?

Meeting · 10/07/2023 10:32

OP do you intend to actually give an opinion about any of the things people are mentioning on this thread, or are you too bored?

So why are you here?

Everyone should be able to live their lives how they see fit as long as it doesn't negatively impact anyone else but it's all Emperor's New Clothes now, and I won't be compelled into believing a lie. If that's hateful then I really don't care.

If a speaker at the trans rally at the weekend hadn’t stood up and told the crowd to punch women in the face I can guarantee we wouldn’t be talking about it.

If the police response had been ‘thank you for reporting, we will investigate’ rather than ‘telling people to punch women is fiiiiiine, we’re not going to take it any further’ I can guarantee the thread would have quietened down a lot sooner.

As it is we are in a boiling a frog situation where violence against women is slowly becoming more and more acceptable to fantasise about, incite and finally do, and if we all turn our heads away and wish the nasty women would shut up about all this unpleasant stuff we’re going to wake up and find we have none of the rights we were born with.

Saying you wish we would shut up about trans issues after what happened at the weekend makes me want to shout louder and more often because clearly you have no idea what is going on and what is at stake.

Nothing to do with its demographic being middle class mothers then, who tend to be over 30? Fairly big clue in the name I'd have thought...

Actually a FOI request found that in prison, roughly half of all TW prisoners are in for violent sex crimes, compared to 17% in the male estate., suggesting that TW are twice as likely to be rapists than other men.
This has been backed up by the recently published census.

Crossdressing is the biggest paraphilia amongst sex criminals. Yet due to Stonewall’s rebranding of trans, all are now genuine TW, and of course trans women are women - if you’re going to start talking about genuine trans and non genuine, you’re the one who’s being hateful, if someone says they’re trans, they are trans.
Them’s the rules, take it up with Stonewall and TRAs if you don’t like it.

JudgeAnderson · 10/07/2023 10:35

You're posting this today of all days? When a trans parolee incited a crowd to punch women in the face and the Met dismissed complaints? Really?

Oh dear. Ok you sound excitable. Leave, don’t leave we’ll cope.

Why are people going on about over 30s? I'm not 30 for a few years. I didn't buy a house for 50p. I don't have a miserable life.

What I am though, is a young woman who can see what's happening in the world.

If online discourse is anything to go by Mr. Punch is a fairly moderate trans activist. I don't think most people hate him and his mates. But their influence on public policy is a legitimate concern especially for women?

They do seem to have an extraordinary hold over the Metropolitan Police.

whereaw · 10/07/2023 10:36

@LadyGrinningSoul85 why the age hate? I'm younger than you and well aware that men can't become women and vice versa.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 10/07/2023 10:36

I'm bored of trans activists who are trying to rewrite biological fact.

ManateeFair · 10/07/2023 10:36

YANBU. It's also particularly notable that people mostly post transphobic threads with vague titles that are chosen to make people click without knowing it's just going to be another thread stirring up panic about trans people.

Also Mumsnet is really unrepresentative of the wider female population on this issue. There's a much higher proportion of gender-critical women here than there is in the general population.

I'm not talking about under 30's on AIBU.

I meant none of the under 30's I have in my life would support your way of thinking.
