Huge ads not scrolling

Got a new one here, for me at least. Huge ads taking up top half of screen, I understand there are some pretty big ads but this one stays static and doesn’t scroll.

Once a scrolling ad appears, you’re left with an entire screen of advert as per screenshot

I’ve just tried the clearing cookies thing - it doesn’t work.

Surely this is something that MN should be trying to fix instead of blaming the users and trying to get them to fix it. Just get rid of the stupid big ads, there’s plenty of space for advertising without those. Plus it’s not going to do North face any favours! I like their stuff, but right now I’m just associating them with a feeling of irritation.

Another one comlain8ng that the ads are making MN virtually unusable.

Another complaint here, i cant read any threads as the first message is totally blocked by a north face advert. Every single thread, it wont go away

Here too - a North Face one. It says scroll but I can’t see the OP still.

Yep, same here, using Safari. Can’t see OPs or half the screen tbh, so unusable.

Safari/iPad same problem with black, large ads.

It scrolls fine, there's no lag or anything. It just covers up posts. Not convinced clearing cookies would change that.

You would think MN could take down the Northface ad and look into it rather than each member having to clear cookies.

Huge ad blocking screen. It took me 4 attempts to get back to this thread, as the ad kept blocking access.

I cleared my MN cookies and it has resolved the problem.

Maybe if we all tweet north face about what a shit job MN are doing of advertising for them, they will withdraw their own ad.

Oh I don't know - I do feel a very strong urge to spent LOTS of money buying North Face clothing now not really, I'm a Decathlon and Aldi Special Buy girl

I’ve got the same black obscured screen as @PinkBuffalo posted. Running Safari on iPad. I don’t want to rotate the screen - I use it in landscape for a reason. I also don’t want the entire site obscured by ads! Infuriating.

It stopped for a while but the huge ads are back.

@ShermanPea thankfully I’m not getting huge ads anymore. Having to deal with all the nuances of the new site layout however is a bit annoying.
