What actually are your plans to deal with disablism on MN?

You remember you were going to impliment all kinds of things, Message which explained posts were deleted due to disablism, Emails to the posters, proactive buzzwords...

a year on what has been the result of this massive change in moderation?

Now i'm not suggesting this was a carrot, dangled to try and stop people leaving....
But we donkeys ARE getting a little tired of walking and woudl like to know what plans are there for the future to stop attacks.

I'm super-duper-banned from nethuns. Several years, devices, email addresses and IS providers later, and they still know who I am?!

You should get some advice from their tech dept, hq!!

I posted very regularly and was thanked for educating people but just got attacked more and more as Dawn is being.

I left for a bit, came back and tried to use old name and was attacked within an HOUR.

So cant use it now, need to keep namechanging and just do not get very involved in threads about disability as its not worth it.

Hq made their position very clear the last time people raised this issue..indeed rebecca said "its not all about you" in a very non neutral post one night.

Have had much kindness from HQ in past though and used to feel very supported a few years ago. (Occasionally am but dont feel secure enough to report disablist things often now).

Have accepted things have changed and its not my site so need to suck it up.

Remember a thread from about 2011 in which we were promised the world in terms of support. The contrast with the response to the last thread like this was staggering.

Could be the same old trolls re-registering, Dixie. One certainly seems pretty familiar with Dawn and her DD.

I had to name change from a name I'd used for years too. I couldn't use it at all without trolls making a beeline, that's been going on for years.

Glad to see people supporting dawn..main reason i left was that people werent getting involved.

It has to be the same GFs re-registering and namechanging as they repeatedly target longstanding posters who dont namechange. These aren't newbies joining for a laugh, these are persistent bullying trolls.

People aren't much still tbh Disillusioned- it's the same faces from the disability community.

Disillusioned I think we all have to protect ourselves and sometimes that means stepping back if we aren't in the right place to get involved. Sometimes it really is best to report and hide.

I report, report and hide the thread quite often. It is good for my sanity.

Goady fuckers arent actually that hurtful, they're just twats. Its worse if they are abusing you and noone defends you though, makes you feel people agree with them. So people should speak out. Lest they eventually come for them too, as the poem says.

Reporting is all very well if things are promptly deleted, too.

Sonetimes they arent, or not for days.

Not "making parents lives easier", to say the least.
