You remember you were going to impliment all kinds of things, Message which explained posts were deleted due to disablism, Emails to the posters, proactive buzzwords...

a year on what has been the result of this massive change in moderation?

Now i'm not suggesting this was a carrot, dangled to try and stop people leaving....
But we donkeys ARE getting a little tired of walking and woudl like to know what plans are there for the future to stop attacks.

well, apart from one incident last year, I think it was, but it was a one off.
Ah well.

MNHQ what the fuck are you doing? You are really letting a large section of your membership down. Are we not worth even the most basic of respect?

Ghostofasmile · 09/07/2017 20:28

It's a disgusting sustained attack.

Dawndonnaagain · 09/07/2017 20:29

zzzz Thank you so much. I need that. Star Flowers

And yet again, thank you to those who are supporting me hear and elsewhere, just as you did last night. It's bloody kind of you to give up your time for me. StarFlowers

I think getting things like this out in the open is a good thing, it actually highlights the sort of abuse some members here have to put up with and goes toward explaining why some snap.

Being let down doesn't begin to cover it.

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2017 20:37

Another example of RL shit. Couldn't get past, couldn't access dropped kerb. Stuck. Then having to read abusive entitled shit online?

I have heard nothing from HQ all weekend apart from a mass email that went out yesterday. Am really unimpressed. Oh, and I have asked questions, via email on yesterday's thread via and the report function.

I can count at least five who have left due to this shit.

aspienProud · 09/07/2017 20:42

Constantly ignoring a problem for years is only going to make it hard to fix.

Dawndonnaagain · 09/07/2017 20:43

Okay, have now heard from hq. Posters banned. Again.

aspienProud · 09/07/2017 20:45

Hiding the true extent of the problem of disablist attacks is absolutely sickening.
There is a problem MNHQ you need to admit it and start working with the users affected to sort it out.

how can anyone with any compassion let this happen?

aspie

MNHQ do have compassion. Just not for second-class citizens, which they obviously see this particular subset as being.

Polter · 09/07/2017 20:50

There's no doubt it's getting worse and the culprits do pick those of us who are disabled and/or parents of disabled kids as targets. They change their usernames but the tone is always the same, they're easy to spot once you've been targeted. It never used to feel like it was personal, but now it very clearly often is personal.

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 09/07/2017 20:51

Yy :(

Polter · 09/07/2017 20:51

Dawn Flowers

In fact for everyone who keeps on keeping on trying to educate the ignorant twats Flowers

Weebo · 09/07/2017 20:54

I don't agree HQ think of people as second class citizens. Some have their own disabilities/disabled family members.

How are the banned people getting back on so quickly?

Dawndonnaagain · 09/07/2017 20:55

Because it's easy to change your ip address and email address, one supposes.
Gits!

But as i said on the thread, when you can just sign up again what threat is banning to troublemakers?

I think this post on the first page answers your question Weebo, you can just resign up.

YouHaveBeenSummarilyDismissed · 09/07/2017 20:58

Apparently Nethuns have this sorted though? It is reportedly impossible to get back to posting there once you've been banned.

Weebo · 09/07/2017 20:59

Yes, I read on a thread here someone who was banned couldn't even read the forum let alone post.

Polter · 09/07/2017 21:03

The easiest thing would be to restrict namechanging and restrict posting abilities for new users. At the very least this would slow down the flow of shite.

Weebo · 09/07/2017 21:08

Or even name changing could need to be okayed through HQ?

I only say that because I had to name change twice recently for personal reasons.
