For the love of the wee man please do something about the ads

HQ. Please. Make a decision about the ads. Either make them less intrusive or give us an option to pay a sub and get rid of them.

I'm on laptop, mobile on phone and sometimes Ipad. They make the site unusable and I'm going to be investigating an adblock today.

I am sure that is not what you want - I understand the need for ads to generate revenue, but when they are so intrusive that they interfere with the ability to use the site then you've gone a bit too far in the wrong direction.

Also, I wouldn't buy anything that is advertised like that, in an intrusive ad that pisses me off, because instead of thinking fluffy warm thoughts about the product being advertised, I'm thinking "FUCK THE FUCK OFF YOU ANNOYING TWAT" which I am sure is not the intention of the advertiser.

I get why ads are there, but there's something deeply wrong about them in the middle of threads. Not OK.

Oh come ON! If you're going to force adverts on me, at least make them realistic

And I'm either getting big ads in the middle of threads or blank spaces like the attached. Also the site is not fully loading.

Multiple ads in middle of threads

I'm using an iPhone 7 plus with Safari. Like pp have said, in the last couple of days there have been ads down the right hand side, top and bottom of page and now on every page at least one big ad in the middle.

When I browse on my phone (Samsung Galaxy, using the mobile site not the app) I can only MN on wifi, otherwise all my data allowance is used up in a few pages plus it takes aaaaaaggggggeeeeeessssss to load. It's OK on wifi and on my laptop, except that I have to be really invested in a thread to bother scrolling past the large ads that appear in the middle of the posts - I've given up reading loads of threads because I CBA to keep scrolling and hoping I don't accidentally click on the advert instead

Can we at least see more interesting ads, if it has to fill entire screen?

The ads are a MASSIVE issue for me, as I have to use the zoom feature on my screen. It makes it almost impossible to scroll up without accidentally clicking on one!

And those sidebar ones means I'm getting one word per line!

I know the majority of MNers are not VI, but there must be a small number of us who get driven even more batshit by it!

I've got The Telegraph at the top, JD Williams in the middle and the Mumsnet Jobs ad at the bottom.

I understand you have to earn a living, Mumsnet, but this is getting silly.....
