Let alone post on them.

It's beyond a joke now, vast swathes of MN are now totally inaccessible to me. Can we PLEASE sort this out?

I search for mumsnet in google (1st pic)

Then I click on the AIBU or Chat etc in the google search and the website opens with the list of threads (2nd pic) and then when I try to click on a thread nothing happens, it just freezes on the page with the list of threads. I cannot open any threads at all. I've checked other websites and forums and they're all working fine from my phone, it's definitely just this one.

I have had to use the app to post this.

At 1312 today Active Discussions wouldn't load beyond about the first 8-10 threads?
(and there's still three spaces at the beginning of my replies)

I managed to open a thread (pictured) but I cannot scroll up or down the screen it just freezes on the section of the screen it opens at.

Mine is going through spells of not loading properly - so first half dozen or so posts load, then blankness, and refreshing just seems to freeze up the tab - then spells of being fine. So Sat & Sun morning I was having the issue every other page/thread or worse for a couple of hours, but it was fine late afternoon / evening both days. Today it has been the other way round - fine this morning, failing to load properly now. All other sites are loading properly.

Using desktop site via Safari on iPad.

I've been getting the same thing, I've sent screenshots but the only response I had was to be directed to this thread. For me it happens multiple times a day and is making the site totally unusable as everything freezes.

I can't post screenshots every it happens as everything freezes. I'm getting timed out and internal errors (as in its internal to MN). My settings are set for the lowest number of post per page.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now.

I don't have wifi and mobile internet where I am is slow (three bars max) but other sites are loading fine. I wondered if it was to do with the link converting or ads that are loading which take up almost half the page (I'm talking about a specific MN ad which annoyingly isn't present right now).

I'm using safari and an iPad, I've already sent a screenshot and won't be putting one here as I've delibrately disabled that option given the problems I'm having.

I'm almost exactly the same as you page. Sometimes pages absolutely won't load or half load but the rest is blank. The links on trending are ignoring me as they don't recognise Iv clicked on them. Refreshing freezes everything completely. Yet other times it works ok

Other sites working ok so it's not coming from my end but this one is just dire!

This is what I'm getting, the pages are just hanging. Please not the time on the screenshot, and the time I'm posting this. It has taken me 20+ minutes to get to this page to post this.

What with this, the DM stealing every other thread, and the trolls, there really is very little point to MN right now.

I've also been having issues - pages not loading at all, site freezes for no apparent reason when I try and refresh. I keep having to close my browser window and opening it again. It's then ok for about 20 mins and then the whole cycle starts again.

On mobile site, Safari, iPhone 6.

iPhone safari here too, I've given up as pages aren't loading and the site keeps freezing. It's only been over the past few hours though

I have no issues using the mobile site, on my android phone.

Yesterday, for the first time in ages, I tried to log on to the desktop site on my PC, through Microsoft edge.

It was ridiculously slow. A thread would load, it would take me to my bookmark and I'd gingerly scroll up or down. It would scroll about post or two and then stick. Nothing would move. At all.

I won't be using the desktop site again.

Here is the most recent disaster.
The blue loading bar at the top that goes nowhere and the blank post below on a stuck screen. Only closing down the site fixes it.

Ohh glad it's not just me! Half the op opens and then it freezes, blank page & wont scroll! Really annoying!

I've been having the same problems for a week or more on my iPhone - pages only half loading and freezing completely. The search option also isn't working - the results page is always blank.

Hi all,

Thanks so much for your patience on this.

Tech have been trying to replicate the issue - they've found that if you have it set to show 50 messages or less and paginate, the pages load very quickly. (Ads might take longer, but this doesn’t stop you from scrolling down and reading the posts)

However, they also found that if you have it set to show 1000 messages and you look at a long thread, then it's going to be slow - this is because you’re loading several megabytes onto a single page in your browser, which is an awful lot.

Could you also try using chrome, to see if this improves things?

Ads, especially those that auto play do cause difficulty loading pages if you are on mobile internet and not wifi.

I suggest tech tries loading pages without using wifi (which I assume theyre using)

I'm already set to 25 pages, have been for days now. It's helping marginally, but only if I can get on the damn page in the first place.

Chrome is not an option for me, I'm on an iPhone. I only have my phone, or my kindle, and I've completely given up with MN on the kindle, it simply doesn't work at all.
