"We don't think that this thread is disablist, it is a valid discussion that we don't think should be shut down. "

yet it has obviously been reported.

Thread deleted
Message from MNHQ: Thanks so much for all the reports about this.

Although there has been some interesting debate and discussion, we do agree that the OP and some of what ensues is disablist, so we have decided to delete.

how can these be interesting debates??
\not long ago mn hq said that they were going to be quicker dealing with this stuff
what happened??

She's earned a place on my goadyfucker list. Under "assorted racists, disablists and misogynists".

It's "not in the spirit" is insulting.

MN - please make its clear you won't tolerate it.

paxillin · 30/08/2016 13:27

Well, the OP gave a brilliant opening, complaining that there seems to be no grey on some issues, such as feminism and disabled rights. Indeed there isn't or shouldn't be at least.

NeedAnotherGlass · 30/08/2016 16:28

I sincerely hope that goady fucker has been banned.
That is an intentionally offensive thing to say.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 30/08/2016 17:05

Not heard anytihng about my complaint letter yet.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 30/08/2016 17:08

I know it was dilivered and RM signed for it.

honkinghaddock · 31/08/2016 06:28

There is a right twat (who claims to have children with asd herself) on the dog thread, having a go at someone with a severely autistic teenage child. I've reported and am waiting to see if her posts get deleted.

Samcro · 31/08/2016 07:27

where are Mn hq, why is that poster allowed to say that

OP posts:
NeedAnotherGlass · 31/08/2016 10:47

One of her posts has been deleted, but there's still 2 more particularly nasty ones, both of which I have reported.

That poster is already on my shit list for some other insensitive drivel she posted previously. I think it was criticising parents on the Born Naughty programme.

honkinghaddock · 31/08/2016 11:39

I reported those posts 5 hours ago and they are still there although I am glad she appears to be the only unreasonable poster on there.
Francis - Getting your dog to sit would be very helpful. Ds has no problems at all passing a dog doing that. He becomes upset or hyper about anything that is running around, bouncy or loud close to him. Other children can be just as much a problem for him as dogs can.

insan1tyscartching · 31/08/2016 12:11

Ds is similarly scared of dogs although we now have one of our own that he loves. For that reason I am super vigilant and ensure he doesn't bother anybody else by putting him back on he lead when I can see people approaching.
Speaking of ds years ago when he was about six or seven and the only speech he had was echolalia we passed a very doddery old lady with an equally doddery old dog. Ds obviously didn't see it as a threat as rather than flapping and trying to escape he looked the old woman directly in the eye and said "Not all dogs go to heaven" Grin (from a film trailer I think)
Old woman seemed to think he had said something profound and came over all flustered Grin poor thing as we marched off sharpish so that we could laugh.

On that thread, it is reassuring that everyone else has disagreed and challenged those posts, but all it takes is 1 more poster joining in and the whole thing degenerates.
Then it becomes impossible for MNHQ to get it right. It's just easier to delete that kind of hate, and it will affect the OP if it's left to stand.

That posters posts have finally all gone. Only took 15 hours.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 31/08/2016 15:43

I'm going to do a seocnd letter to MNHQ at some point.

How long before goady hate speech on bluebadge thread is deleted...

In the words of brusie: HIgher than 15 hours or lower?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 31/08/2016 15:43

Just wanted to say...I have not been/am not posting on MN at moment due to all the issues discussed here..but have been reading and it's really obvious since have taken a step back that there is a real problem with people goading about disability issues. Am glad that one was dealt with. Was harder to see when I was in the thick of it but it's painfully obvious now.

Glad people are persevering to get the issue addressed here Flowers to all

Jasonandyawegunorts · 31/08/2016 15:43

brucie... with a c?

candykane25 · 31/08/2016 17:11

Eek there's a blue badge thread?

Is there any point trying to get ignorant or goady posters to stop or educate other posters? I know my stress levels go up and sometimes to he point I'm so wound up I've lost sleep.
Is it better to just ignore and report?
Deny the trolls the attention they are trying to stir up?

I dread to think what a gf would say about blue badges. Nothing useful or worthwhile I'm sure.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 31/08/2016 17:13

That's why I haven't been posting. I don't see it stopping.

candykane25 · 31/08/2016 17:19

I am totally loathe to click on disability threads which is a shame.
