Hello all - and many happy returns to MNers everywhere.

To mark the auspicious occasion, we've been taking a misty-eyed trip down memory lane. Come and have a look at the threads of Mumsnet legend, the things we'd never have learned without Mumsnet, and the pictures that still make us snigger - and do share your best Mumsnet memories here, we'd love to hear 'em.

Happy Birthday Mumsnet. Thank you all for running this wonderful, glorious site.

I've been here nearly 14 years in one guise or another and through several changes of email etc. I was pointed this way when I was having trouble TTC and was on another, now defunct, parenting site. I am so glad that poster sent me this way.

One of the stories I remember is when a MNers DH suddenly died and she got so much support and when she wasn't coping and SS were on her back there was a lot of MNers who rallied round and went to her and helped clean the house for her. That was MN at it's best.

I will raise a mug of hot chocolate to you and wish you all many more years as the best parenting site there is.

Happy Birthday Mumsnet xxx

I can't remember exactly when I joined (I've always been a lurker rather than a poster) but I do remember the day I started bleeding during early pregnancy and the doctor told me it was probably a miscarriage and booked me in for a scan the next day. I sat in my study crying all night as I read all the threads about bleeding during pregnancy, convinced that I had lost my much longed for 2nd baby, after 4 years of trying. Amazingly that baby hung in there and is now a beautiful 12 year old.

I also remember GF, before GF was a dirty word. In fact I bought her book after reading a lot about her on here and although some bits are a bit too strict for me, I still credit her with how easy my 2nd child was compared to my 1st - please don't ban me !!!

I love the fact that Mumsnet is there for you at every stage of your life -as well as the pregnancy & baby stuff. I have relied on mumsnet to help me with every stage of my childrens life right up to university. I have got more help & support on here for my sons special needs than everywhere else put together. Now I'm older you have even got sections for menopause & elderly parents.

Happy birthday , mumsnet is legend !

Happy birthday to all the team

More of a lurker than a regular poster - but over the many years MN has made me laugh, cry, wonder, go and buy stuff, go and read stuff, and sometimes offer up to others the best advice and wisdom I can muster.

I can't remember how I found it, about 10 years ago I think
Mostly lurk these days, but the laughter and the tears is compelling
The reviews and the advice fabulously useful
And so many points of view have made me much more open minded
So many lovely people, thank you all

LIZS · 11/03/2015 18:50

Just read the guest post and misted up, even though I wasn't involved. There have been so many times MN has risen to the occasion in times of personal crisis over the last 15 years.

KiwiJude · 11/03/2015 18:56

Happy birthday Mumsnet, lots of Cake, Wine, Brew and [biscuits] to all :)

I only found MN last year, it's a part of my daily life now. Thanks for everything!

Happy birthday from Germany. I've been on mumsnet for 6 years and apart from the funneh, the advice, the slightly batty opinions etc, it's been an incredibly important link for me back to my homeland. It's like a portable bit of Britain, much more accessible than a newspaper or magazine - I feel really in touch with the UK still - so much more than I woukd have done by keeping in touch with my mum and the handful of friends who have lasted the distance.

I know that's not the reason mumsnet came into existence, but, for me, that's what it has become. Online evolution of whatever. So, thanks for that mumsnet!

Wine Cheers!

11 years. Over 500 posts. Lots and lots of replies. Three silent flounces. Three returns 'just to ask one question'. One child still alive. One relationship still going. A slightly more efficient recycling routine.

Thanks, sisters.

MollyMaDurga · 11/03/2015 19:40

Happy Birthday MN, you have been a real find!

Libitina · 11/03/2015 19:41

I've only been reading the forum since the penis beaker went mainstream. As my child is 22 this year, I wish I'd found it 15 years ago. I think I was confusing you all with the 'other side'.

Congrats!

RaisingSteam · 11/03/2015 19:41

Happy Birthday Mumsnet. I've got the SWMNBN publicity to than for introducing me in 2006 when I was floundering with a newly adopted baby and toddler. MN is epic.

darumafan · 11/03/2015 20:08

Happy Birthday mumsnet, I honestly don't remember how long I have been here and I mostly lurk. Mumsnet supported me through the death of my eldest son nearly 3 years ago. They were there in the darkest, loneliest hours of my life, the support and love got me through and i will always be grateful for that and the Woolly Hug. Here is to another 15 years xxxx

Namehanger · 11/03/2015 20:10

Happy birthday

FrannyandZooey · 11/03/2015 20:36

Happy Birthday, dear MN. Can't believe ds' clay cock is there at number 1. Loved seeing Greeny's hamster and 100's bobble plate, too. Thank you for giving me more laughs than possibly any other place in my whole life.

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 11/03/2015 20:36

Live update from the Bday (bidet?!) bash! Great party, there are actual mumnetters throwing shapes as I type!
