I hate stealth home made lard bird seed cake boast posts.

Slubber did you make sure you decommissioned the condemned home made lard bird seed cakes properly? So that the birds don't just eat them from the bin. That would be an insult to your home made lard bird seed cake.

LoopsInHoops · 22/01/2013 12:43

I'm quite hurt at this thread, to be honest.

I saw someone make a nasty, bitchy and playground-like comment at another poster and called her on it, whilst doing the decent thing and explaining why I'd reported. That led to her and some others taking the piss out of me for standing by MN's procedure.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not pset as in boo hoo crying, but I am pissed off that I've spent many long minutes telling people not to be so daft when they accuse MN of being bitchy, and of certain posters 'bullying' others - I had thought it was nonsense. But it's so easy to see, just in a tiny snapshot of a thread like this that some posters and their friends are quite incapable of behaving like grownups.

Shiney, think about it. Think about how your post will have read to the OP. I know you're not an uncaring bitch, so why are you acting like one?

IWorshipSatin · 22/01/2013 12:44

The cake thread had the potential to be hurtful - as someone says on the original thread, it had the potential to go into DV or mental health territory. Just because nobody posted about their own experience doesn't mean they didn't think it, so none of us can know whether it actually did hurt someone.

Moln · 22/01/2013 12:45

Can i join mn roylaty? Would like to wear a crown. 'Specially a sparkly one.

What do I have to do for it? I'll marry someone, hand oout flyer. Make tea and stuff.

Slubberdegullion · 22/01/2013 12:48

Floaty, I threw my home made lard bird seed cakes vengefully into the snow and shook my fist impotently at the bird-free sky. 'That'll show them' I thought angrily and hurtedly. Now I have to go and hang them all up again as it was all a great big fib. Let's hope those wood pigeon porkers haven't got to them.

ExitPursuedByABear · 22/01/2013 12:48

I don't get the Mambo and 5th joke.

Has anyone got the lemon drizzle cake recipe? I once made one with a top so hard it needed a drill to cut it. Didn't stop us eating it though.

ExitPursuedByABear · 22/01/2013 12:49

Moln You can't join royalty my dear. It grows on you.

Hullygully · 22/01/2013 12:51

Tell me something that doesn't.

Boiled eggs?

Stale Ryvita?

It's a minefield.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 22/01/2013 12:51

The song exit "mambo number 5"??

Moln · 22/01/2013 12:52

Anything here has the potential to develop into something completely ridiculous.

But that thread didn't.

Where have you been?!

HoneyDragon · 22/01/2013 12:53

Fuck you and your stale Ryvita Hully. How could you?

[sorry. Couldn't resist. Also thought Loops just made a bloody good point too]

Moln · 22/01/2013 12:54

Like mould Exit¿ or maybe fur. Possibbly feathers

ExitPursuedByABear · 22/01/2013 12:54

Nope - still don't get it.

I smashed a bottle of soy sauce on the kitchen floor last night. It was knocked out of the cupboard by the ryvita box, so I find you comments quite hurtful Hully

weegiemum · 22/01/2013 12:54

There's nothing wrong with being a Geography teacher

(yes, I am one!)

(I'm even female!!)

ExitPursuedByABear · 22/01/2013 12:55

Don't mention Mould

IWorshipSatin · 22/01/2013 12:55

Hully - agreed, but my point is that no group of people have the right to say what is or isn't hurtful to another group of people

HoneyDragon · 22/01/2013 12:56

Are you blaming the Ryvita for pushing the Soy sauce?

You should have an inquiry surely? Should the Ryvita be let off?

frasersmummy · 22/01/2013 12:57

there are personal attacks on this thread and therefore should be and has been reported

If you see someone being personally attacked it is the right thing to do .. it is not and never will be the right thing to say .. its nowt to do with me.. that way lies a very bad road

TantrumsAndBalloons · 22/01/2013 12:57

But no one mentioned mental health or DV did they?

No one opened up to the OP about their own terrible experiences of their DHs eating cake, having no birds, or anything of the sort.

Ive said this before, anything can potentially upset someone. Does that mean no one can joke anymore?

Yes I am blaming the ryvita. Bloody Crispbreads. No fecking manners.

Porkster · 22/01/2013 12:57

Bit it was just a bit of fun!

Even those who believed it, enjoyed the bundle, I think.
