I've designed the new menu system for the top of the page:

-Display posts with 'report this post'
-Display posts without 'report this post'
-Display posts with chat, but without 'report this post'
-Display posts without chat AND without 'report this post'
-Display posts without chat but WITH 'report this post'
-Display posts with chat and some for sale (but only from MN addicts who post in other topic areas) and with 'report this post'
-Display posts without chat (unless voted very funny by five of your 'trusted' MN buddies) but with for sale (only where listing price < 33% of discount RRP, using kiddicare as benchmark)
-Display only your own witty posts so you can see how wonderful you are.
-Display nothing because you are having a bad time getting off your computer (three hour lock-out).

Was about to create a new thread re "report this post"... wtf? Are we all supposed to be big brothering now?

i think its highly likely that it would help jaff jaffa & mssrs to identify certain potential legal infringements and thats why it was put there

So there've been enough legal infringements to warrant such a "drastic" measure? Ratting on each other doesn't seem very conducive to the essential trust that should exist between MNers.

no i meant its probably more easily administered by MN if jaffa jaffa mssrs say there was something defamatory on xxxx thread - we want the whole thread deleated.

i am sure they have tried to argue that the whole thread doesnt need deleting and therefore jaff jaffa mssrs can just click to the right

also must be easier instead of trawling through when someone complains about someone language on a thread - rather than trawling through the whole thread.
