Why are some members of this site allowed to get away with persistently being vile, pushing an agenda, defending the indefensible, upsetting other members, twisting versions of events and generally being nasty, and they do not get banned?

Not about any one particular poster, but I have noticed that some stronger "personalities" on here seem to be Teflon coated.

Why is this?

Why do the owners of this site want that kind of vile poster and do not seem to care about the number of truly decent kind posters who are being upset and driven off the site?

I have only just noticed Olivia's new name Shock

You look lovely and slim in it Olivia.

Blush Tis leftover from John biffa Briffa's chat. I should change back really.

Pinot · 05/07/2012 15:02

Awww, wook at wa wickle doggywoggy

And yes, past experiences definitely get pricked by current argybargies. Hence one persons robust & straight talking is another persons prickfacedmotherfucker.

ThisWeekonFancyPuffin · 05/07/2012 15:06

If you ever had Russell Howard on for a chat I would change my name to;

HeyWouldYouLiketoSeeYouLadyGardenandMaybeTouchItALittleBit

Hullygully · 05/07/2012 15:07

Why would he want to see his own lady garden?

Hullygully · 05/07/2012 15:07

Would he even have one?

ThisWeekonFancyPuffin · 05/07/2012 15:14

Dammit!!! Stupid bastard fingers.

LeB0F · 05/07/2012 15:14

ThisWeekonFancyPuffin · 05/07/2012 15:19

Puppy is awesome and much nicer than my dogs

If bullying on here isn't bullying, then what is cyber-bullying?

OP posts:
ExitPursuedByABear · 05/07/2012 15:27

I think what you have referred to hath with people being followed round threads and stuff dragged up is bullying - having a bit of a disagreement isn't.

hathorisaskingaquestion · 05/07/2012 15:30

I don't think having a bit of a disagreement is bullying.

And I was bullied at school and my son was bullied to the extent that he was deliberately beaten about the head following an operation to remove a tumour - so I get that physical bullying is different.

But just because it happens on here and it's the internet doesn't mean it's not bullying.

If not, as some have said, then what is cyber bullying?

Hattie won't be able to perform as Eric Sykes died and, whilst dead herself, she is too upset (as I am).

I will be played by Penelope Keith in Margot styleeee. So you need someone else for Justine. What about Helen Mirren? But not in an alcoholic policeman way

Tee2072 · 05/07/2012 15:33

Cyber-bullying is following people from thread to thread or website to website. Not just disagreeing with what you say.

When they took stuff you said from one thread and brought it up over and over on another thread? I would call that bullying.

Pagwatch · 05/07/2012 15:34

Sorry
I have assumed I am in the play and not noticed that the thread is back on topic.

LeB0F · 05/07/2012 15:34

"Dragging stuff up" can be subjective though- sometimes it is fair enough to mention that someone is either contradicting themselves or starting their umpteenth thread moaning about something there had gazillions of advice on before and seem to be ignoring, for example. Bringing irrelevant stuff up just to mock someone is not very nice though, and could be seen as goading. But even then, it's not really the kind of thing that would be classed as cyber-bullying, I don't think. That is a category best applied to kids and teenagers etc online who are threatened and targeted for verbal abuse, usually by people they also know in real life. That's my understanding, anyway.

hathorisaskingaquestion · 05/07/2012 15:34

Tee - that's what I thought.

LadyBeagleEyes · 05/07/2012 15:36

Do I at least have a line?
Oh, and can you find a part for Eric Sykes, him being dead now too?
Just think, Hattie and Eric reunited.
What a joyous moment that would be.

ThisWeekonFancyPuffin · 05/07/2012 15:38

You are right Hath and I should have clarified in my previous post (blame extreme tiredness).

What annoys me is people who get disagreed with that cry bully. Sustained abuse, like you had is Cyber-Bullying, a minor tiff is not. It's hard when you have suffered bullying to listen to someone say they have been bullied when they haven't.

Does that make sense?

Need sleep

Hullygully · 05/07/2012 15:40

were you on the thread Pag? No part without participation. Very strict.

No line, LBE, I told you that.

Hullygully · 05/07/2012 15:41

Perhaps Eric could play Gandhi?

Tee2072 · 05/07/2012 15:44

I used to be a lightening designer, in another life, long ago and far away.

Need some lights for this play? Or a set? I can do that too.

Tee2072 · 05/07/2012 15:45

No, not a lightening designer. A lighting designer...I am not God except in my head

FunnysInLaJardin · 05/07/2012 15:45

Olivia, you can't call a guest a Biffa. Besides it's my pet name for him
