The search bar itself is not too bad - but I don't understand why the facebook/twitter/email/print buttons have to hang down from it like some sort of pendant.

And how hard is it to click "home" to get to the top of the page for the search facility anyway?

It won't grow on me, I can promise you. I have stopped using sites which have introduced them because they mess with the way I browse too much.

And it says 'log out' in a prominent fashion as if you should be getting on with your work instead of being on MN.

Good grief, it's already annoying the fuck out of me - I may have to take a 2 day break from MN until it's fixed.

I just tried using the search from the toolbar and all it does is take me to another search page. Whats the point of having a space to type in a search term when it doesn't fecking search? Eh???

It is one more irritant. Alongside the twitter feed that streams alongside the side of the page, flashing adverts causing my laptop to crash and other oddities which have been and gone over the years.

Yes I know I sound like a grumpy old woman, but still....

Can we have the option to search 'talk' at the top right back please!? I don't really want to have to navigate 2/3/4 pages! Thankyou

I prefer having the drop down thing to having the fb & twitter things on the bar at the top of every post though!

Drop down thing is v.v. annoying.

And I like the purple and blue menu bar thing - especially because it actually works on the ipad

I know that this is a really minor niggle in comparion with the drop down thingy but your roll-overs are REALLY REALLY sensitive - so I'm just moving the cursor and as soon as I go near that new dark topic bar, the roll-over is activated and STAYS activated - why?

Rusty - why though? when they were on the name bar, they didn't hurt anyone, I barely noticed them, unlike NOW.

But could we have Threads I'm on on the talk sub menu as well as active convos?

Why do I have no drop down thingy? I don't want one but need to know why I've been left out.

Just tested the rollovers - I agree, too sensitive. And they stay activated.

I just tried out the search box in the floaty bar thing (on PC this time) and it doesn't even work - unless there's nowt about "breasts" on MN of course

But there is a lovely line up of them at the top of the page... do iphones have a 'Home' facility?
