oh bollox - saw that thread during the day and guessed what it was about (having employed 2 domestic staff, one at "normal" rates and one well below the normal rates.......and they were actually grateful for a job - our maid begged us to employ her brother as a gardenered - we couldn't afford both, he wanted a job, she told us to pay what we could afford -so we did).

I'd be very seriously concerned about censorship and the implications for this site if the people running it start deciding what MN is and isn't about.

What's wrong with gratitude?? I'm grateful for so many things including my former boss hiring me and giving me lots of opportunities. Of course the organisation benefitted from me working there but I don't see why I shouldn't be grateful for some of the opportunities afforded that another boss may not have.

Am quite pissed off actually. The amount of racist/homophobic/bullying crap (delete any or none) that is left to fester and cause upset on here and MNHQ do nothing about it and a bit of reasoned debate goes on and suddenly "that's not what MN is about " FFS I'm off to watch the footie! I haven't got a houseboy to make me a cuppa so DC will have to do it and I don't even pay him! Mind you I do treat him as part of the family he even has his own room

Where is MNHQ to properly explain why this was deleted?

Bit confused as to why this thread has been deleted (which did have some interesting moral implications) and yet some very unpleasant political threads during the election were allowed to stand. Most odd.

yy there is so much crap on here sometimes - esp before the elections - which was left because of yuman rights/freedom of speech and so on.
Can't have it both ways. either it's free speech or not.
