At first I was going to ignore this. And then it struck me once again how odd that for some people this seems to be the totality of their view of men. Odd, naive and just very sad.

@Anxiodogoif you look around you’ll find posters discussing on other threads on MN about how their male partners don’t put in any effort, don’t give compliments, put their sexual needs first etc. It’s the opposite here, these guys are in tune with their partner, happy to prioritise their sex lives, willing to learn how to please their partner.

That is being met with scorn and disbelief by a contingent of posters and it’s getting really old now. I feel so offended when I read the shit being written on other boards and websites about these guys. Especially by people who haven’t even bothered to engage with them, to discuss rather than disparage their opinions. And I know that I’m perceived as an ‘extreme cheerleader’, misogynist, man-pleaser 🙄 and most recently, rape apologist, I’m none of those things. I just really hate to see these stereotypes spouted again and again as if they’re the truth.

Thank you for trying to put the record straight. I expect you'll get a few more insults here and in other places now for your efforts, but I'm really proud of you.

I'm certainly not naive about men. I have discussed on mn under other user names and that I have a very great deal of experience with men - more I suspect than a lot of the women on here. I do have good reason to say that.
