Aibu - men on sex topic

AIBU to picture many of the men who respond as being Kevins from Motherland?
It's the way they are so caring and at pains to make sure all women know they are all beautiful and should feel amazing. And really, they could never spank or choke Jill even if she wanted to because it wouldn't feel respectful or right.

Ordinary? How very dare you.

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 18:50

@everywhichway Ok, I stand corrected! maybe you’re extraordinary!!

Surplus2requirements · 22/03/2023 18:57

@Mermaidparades it's sort of a compliment.

Despite being driven to another forum by the disgusting level of filth here they just can't stop themselves from returning for a peek...

OK maybe that's a bit of a stretch, alternatively...

How sad and deeply unpleasant is it to run off to another forum to insult individual MN members?

I don't know of any other forum that would let it stand

Anxiodogo · 22/03/2023 19:05

Where is the other website?

Anxiodogo · 22/03/2023 19:06

Tattle?

Tattle?

No and I don't think you're being accused of being a double agent.

Some people are feeling wary though after a alternative forum has been set up because of disagreements over the sex board here and some members there regularly read and comment on posters here.

I wont name it but no doubt someone will PM you an invite soon enough

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 17:53

I think they’re just ordinary men, really. Some in jeans and a shirt, some in joggers and a hoodie. Some funny, some serious. They aren’t a separate species, they aren’t deviants, and they don’t deserve disparagement. I know I’ll get all the usual BS on the other website for saying this, but whatever. Hopefully they’ll stop putting up the memes though, they hurt my feelings a bit 🤣

Some in easy access trousers specially altered by a place in London....

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 21:11

@DancingInSpace if you feel it is your business to make such a personal comment I think you should really @ the poster and discuss it with them. Frankly, a dig like that feels very school playground to me and I’m too old for that

Why? Just ordinary men in ordinary clothes? Just pointing out a part of an outfit you missed in your descriptions of the men on here. Jeans and joggers....and easy access trousers. ‘Ordinary’ as you said. 😊

DancingInSpace · 22/03/2023 21:27

And my business? It’s on a public forum. 😉

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 21:34

@DancingInSpace it’s the male equivalent of wearing a dress with crotchless panties, it’s hardly earth shattering news

Don’t know why you’re bothered by my comment then.

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 21:41

@DancingInSpace I’m bothered by your comment because your tone is sneering and the person it’s directed at doesn’t appear to be here this evening to reply. Basically, you’re talking about someone behind their back and I believe that’s a shitty way to behave

Ah yes, I forgot you’re the defender of men on here.

Talking about someone behind their back? How does that work then? My comments are here on a public forum for anyone to read. I don’t think you get this forum thing.

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 22:13

@DancingInSpace you’re right, of course you are . I am stupid and only trying to get strange men on the internet to like me. Happy now?!

AbsolutePixels · 22/03/2023 22:38

Oh for the halcyon days of Brian from Hull, when it was still ok to laugh at pervy men on Mumsnet.

Mermaidparades · 22/03/2023 22:49

Brian was offering yoni massages, wasn’t he?

No one is doing anything like that now.

To coin a phrase...

We see you

Just as well it's still OK to mock people who want to cover up table legs.

AbsolutePixels · 23/03/2023 06:28

It wasn't prudery that made Victorian's cover up table legs, they did it to protect them from damage. It's a sneering, condescending story created by those who foolishly believed that sexual intercourse really did begin in 1963.

There's an analogy here. Don't suppose that just because some Mumsnetters are sick of men monopolizing the sex board with their tedious fetishes, these same women are not enjoying satisfying sex lives. It's a cheap tactic to denounce as a prude any woman who pushes back against the sexual entitlement of men.

Catullus5 · 23/03/2023 07:22

Men no more monopolise this board than certain recent arrivals insisting that men get off it and off Mumsnet entirely. That's the true tediousness here, not certain fetishes that I can choose not to read about.

Furthermore, it's no good calling out hyperbole regarding table-legs when you compare simply discussing sex to behaving like Brian from Hull.

It's just in my mind whenever I read the male responses here. They are so...... nice!
I'm certainly not naive about men. I have discussed on mn under other user names and that I have a very great deal of experience with men - more I suspect than a lot of the women on here. I do have good reason to say that.
Just tickles me to think of Kevin nd how nice he'd be discussing Julia or Amanda's sexual concerns

I think you need to be more careful with your selection of a man if your experience is that bad.

I pity you.

Mermaidparades · 23/03/2023 10:59

@AbsolutePixels men haven’t monopolised the board. It was barely used for so long, pretty much under the radar until it was recently put in Active. Any queries or worries I have posted about have had kind, considerate responses from both men and women. This isn’t AIBU! 😂 Please use the board if you want to, I hate to think that posters are put off using here due to misconceptions

My experience of men in rela life has been largely positive, lucky me.
The impression I'm speaking of here (more gentle amusement than 'bad') is of the men on mumsnet, whom I sadly cannot select. Or even identify sometimes given their usernames.
