Does a larger penis make a difference?

Rosesareredd · 27/07/2021 09:20

My partner is average size (about 5 inches), I can only orgasm if we have sex in certain positions, on my back and legs up near my shoulders, or where he can penetrate me more deeply, accompanied by clitoral play.
I suppose it would be interesting if I was a bit fuller, whether it would make a difference to my orgasm. I’ve never had sex with a well-endowed man, does it make a difference to those who have?

I think at least 5" is what most women need, even those who say it doesn't matter.

I personally prefer more but I think less than 5" is far too small!

Catullus5 · 14/08/2021 01:39

Just below 5 inches is only just below the average and, all other factors being, well, average, should be fine.

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32666897/

Based on these studies, the average length of an erect penis is between 5.1 and 5.5 inches (12.95-13.97 cm), but after taking volunteer bias into account, it is probably toward the lower end of this range.

And:

Most men believe that the average length of an erect penis is greater than 6 inches (15.24 cm). This belief is due, in part, to several often-cited studies that relied on self-reported measurements, with means of about 6.2 inches (15.75 cm) for heterosexual men and even greater for gay men

Lol at the optimistic measuring.

How many of the cock length reporting here isn't just hearsay but also based on inaccurate reporting by owners of said cocks?

Here's another one. www.healthline.com/health/mens-health/average-penis-size#research

A six-incher is way longer than average.

Average cock girth is 4.5 inches.

What??? 40 inches??? Shock
ScottishZoe · 15/08/2021 12:53

I know 5.1" is average, and have sadly come across a few men who were below average. I still find below 5" to be just too small. I don't personally know any woman who thinks below 5" is big enough, even those who prefer girth, tend to qualify that it should be at least 5" long.

Mythreeknights · 17/08/2021 14:05

Interesting thread - my son (12) was born with severe hypospadias and I must admit, it's a worry for me that he will have a very dissatisfying sex life and be dumped over and over once his girlfriends see what his 'wand' looks like. He jokes about it being tiny, and it really is...although obviously I've never seen it erect (if it can in fact get straight and erect - not a given) I am crossing my fingers that he gets a massive growth spurt when he hits puberty and I can worry about something else.

Opentooffers · 19/08/2021 20:23

Overall there's a minimum and a maximum to fall between I'd say, after that is how well they use it and how what other things they do, which falls under a general cover of attitude. You can't then get better than a person who gets off on thrilling the other person, rather than focusing on themselves. Likewise, if you are both getting satisfaction from exciting each other, it's a win win. I wouldn't want it any other way Grin

Opentooffers · 19/08/2021 20:28

Hmm, got 2 nephews with hyperspades, I don't think that relates to size, 2 different issues there. Tbf I don't think women care if there are some mild skin scars from prior surgery when young or if foreskin there or not - with or without is neither here nor there IME. So overall I wouldn't worry that the condition has much effect.

HateJudgmentalPeople · 21/08/2021 05:04

Without sounding crass then I do love the feel of a hard girthy cock inside me..size does matter for me.Blush

Pesimistic · 24/08/2021 11:17

A thick penis is better than a long one

ScottishZoe · 24/08/2021 15:29

@Opentooffers I think most men and women would accept that women will have a minimum and maximum size preference. Although some women will insist they wouldn't care if their partner had a 2" pencil or a girthy 7 incher.

Whilst different for every woman, it probably is helpful for women to be open with what their preferences are. Both to reassure other women that it is ok to have a preference, and also so that most men know they are ok.

For me, personally under 5" is just too small, and over 8" is starting to get too big, and yes girth matters as well! Yes, I know a little 5" is average, but less than is still just too small for me personally.

@HateJudgmentalPeople Doesn't sound crass, and I can't believe it's 2021, and women are still expected to say it doesn't matter and that it doesn't matter if their partner has a 4" pencil or a girthy 8"!

We shouldn't be afraid to have preferences and admit them, its not body shaming.

@Pesimistic Very true! I don't know any woman who prefers a pencil, but still has to have a minimum length! I've not come across any very girthy 4 inchers but for me that would still be too small. But yes a girthy 6" is better than a slim 7"!

Anyone else willing to share their minimum & maximums?

HateJudgmentalPeople · 24/08/2021 16:17

I hate thin long ones because they hit my cervix and I can only manage missionary with a penis like this, luckily all my partners have been blessed (Scottish men have the thickest Blush) with thick ones but I don’t think I would continue a relationship if his cock was thin and tiny!!

Opentooffers · 24/08/2021 17:09

Well yes, not sure what exact length is too big or too small, I'd estimate below 5 is too small and 6-7 is just right. Another big factor is rigidity though - on the larger side is a waste if not as firm as 5 or 6.

ScottishZoe · 24/08/2021 18:01

@HateJudgmentalPeople I try with sleeves, etc. But yes I can't see being in a relationship long term if a guy falls short down below. Which given he can't help it is unfair, but would also be unfair on me trying to carry on.

What would you count as too long? And what would be just too small for you?

Unfortunately I get my fair share, or apparently more than fair share of guys who do fall below average.

Are you Scotland based as well, or do blessed Scotsmen all head down south?

@Opentooffers I don't know any woman who finds below 5" to be big enough. Even those who say size doesn't matter, or girth is more important, will then clarify that they need at least 5" in length.

I personally prefer at least 6", but 5-6" isn't too small, so 5" is my minimum rather than 6".

Sparkybloke · 24/08/2021 18:17

An interesting discussion. Speaking as a bloke I have no problem with the ladies expressing their preferences although the huge majority of men are actually in the 5-6 inch range despite what people may think. The only thing I would say is that we men have what we have. Despite what may be advertised, enlarging a penis is not possible with pills and penile enlargement operations are rarely undertaken or particularly successful. Sad. Hopefully Too the ladies on here won't flame men in the future if they express preferences when it comes to breast size, vulva appearance or vaginal tightness! Any preferences i have will remain privateGrin

Otterhound · 24/08/2021 19:39

Everyone is allowed their preferences what ever they may be

I am very tall and have only ever been attracted to and had sex with very tall, slim women.

Unlike cock size though at least I can make an informed decision before we get naked.
Must be awkward if you jump into bed with a bloke you like to find he is not to your satisfaction!!

Sparkybloke · 24/08/2021 20:12

Guess the ladies could always ask their potential beau on the second or third date over coffee and biscuitsGrin

Wherearemymarbles · 24/08/2021 20:42

Hehe.
They could pull out a ring gauge….
If you can pass through this then entry denied 🤣

HateJudgmentalPeople · 24/08/2021 21:05

People say “it’s not the size, it’s what you do with it”, but really, it only goes in and out and thrust thrust! That’s a saying you tell men with small cocks, or I have done!!Grin

This could be the plot line for a very amusing short story.
ScottishZoe · 24/08/2021 22:23

@HateJudgmentalPeople Well said, and Megan pretty much says that here -

Though we really should stop telling men that “it’s not the size, it’s what you do with it”, plus a guy still needs to have some size for any technique element to be effective!

What do you count as tiny/small? lol

Sparkybloke · 24/08/2021 22:47

And if a man expressed an opinion that Megan's (or anyone else's) vagina was 'too loose' or their boobs too small/big/saggy...what ever..?

despite what Megan may say the fact remains that the vast majority of men have an erect penis around 4.7 -6.3 inches long with an average girth of around 4.7 inches...of over 15000 men who were clinically measured (not though rose colours specs in the heat of the momentSmile) 45% had an erect penis of between 12 and 14 cms long...thats 4.7 to 5.5 inches. The number that exceeded 6.3 inches was around 1%....those are the facts so the vast majority of women will have sex with a man with a penis around 5.5 inches long....

LipstickOnYourCollar5 · 24/08/2021 22:49

6 inches and nice and thick Smile

That's not how average works.
