Dd had had a horrible time in her RS exam today. They had to study an anthology of several philosophers and then you get given an extract from one and have to discuss. The one that she knew the least well (from having missed lessons) was of course the one that came up. However, the whole thing was made worse by the fact that they were in initially given the wrong paper. It seems the school entered them for Ethics rather than Philosophy of Religion. As soon as they were told to start the girls told the invigilators, who had to stop them and ask them all about it. Dd had to leave the exam hall to get her exam timetable to show them which paper they were supposed to be doing. All the while she said she was worrying about whether they would not be able to sit the paper or have to try and do the wrong paper. She said she was shaking and felt sick as she needs to get a minimum of an A to make her firm. Fortunately there was a student from last year re-sitting and she had been entered for the exam dd was supposed to be doing so they had some spares and they were eventually able to proceed but dd was quite shaken up and said she couldn't think straight. Not the best start for someone with anxiety issues!
sassy I feel your pain and especially after today's fiasco where Cambridge could be more in doubt. We are going to apply for dd's York accommodation in the next couple of days and I will work on bringing her round to how great York is!
On the upside - just General Studies to go tomorrow and the she is done!
