Just spoken to her and she thinks it went well and sounded very happy. PHEW!

Molio · 15/06/2015 13:06

Thank you Hocus :) He says it was ok. I don't expect to get much more than that!

GypsyFloss · 15/06/2015 13:10

DD came home happy that French went well. It's such a relief to hear her sound pleased about one of them! Just part 2 of politics on Weds and DS and his final GCSE tomorrow and we are done. I will never have to go through this again Smile

Hope all the other subjects on today are going/ have gone well too.

hellsbells99 · 15/06/2015 13:51

Glad this morning exams seem to have gone well for everyone.

We have Freedom Day here too on Wednesday Mindgone. DD has asked me if I can get. Bottle of Aldi Pimms, lemonade and some burgers, sausages and rolls as a few girls that finish on Wednesday are coming back to spend the afternoon in the garden. Then night outs planned for Thursday and Friday Shock.
She is hopefully in her chemistry exam at the moment. I haven't seen her today as I left the house very early but I hope she will text me with an update later.
I am taking DD2 to open days this Friday and Saturday so I feel like it is straight back on the hamster wheel again!

Horsemad · 15/06/2015 16:10

Chem was 'alright,' but he told DH he thought it went 'rather well'! He's glad it's done - he said 'No more Chem. Ever'.
Clearly not considering a re-sit! Grin

Hope everyone's had a good day. X

hellsbells, I was thinking about open days last night! We're going soon to our local uni to have a look with DS2 but he's doubting his A level choices, so trying to get him to think what degree he'd do is hard work at present Grin

This time next summer we'll be in the thick if it again. Shock

MarianneSolong · 15/06/2015 17:37

For me the stress is all a bit tied up with a feeling of it being the end of one kind of parenting. (Older two children are in their mid-twenties.) Just one final morning of exams - on Wednesdays. I think whatever happens next, essentially it will be my daughter's decision. She's virtually left school. It's not down to me - though I may be called onto be some kind of sounding board. So a vague feeling of grief. Though it's also liberation of a kind.

Horsemad · 15/06/2015 17:54

I keep thinking ahead to 2 years when DS2 will (hopefully) go to Uni Shock People say the time they're children goes so quickly and it really does.

I'm sort of looking forward to just me & DH at home Wink

Glad all the exams today went well. Hope that's a good sign for the rest of the week too.

DD2 only 12, so 6 years before we go through it again.Secretly hoping DD1 will be up for doing the Uni rounds with her when the time comes.

Lovely to hear that exams seem to have gone well today!

hellsbells99 · 15/06/2015 20:30

DD has text me to say chemistry was 'pretty decent' - makes up a little for last week's papers.

bigbluebus · 15/06/2015 20:37

DS also said Chemistry was "good". Hopefully Physics will be "good" on Thursday too. Poor DS has until next Monday before he gets "freedom day". He seems to have been doing exams for months - as he re-sat 4 AS levels in addition to his A2s.

Decorhate · 15/06/2015 20:38

Yes my dd found the AQA chemistry today better than last week's paper too. Fingers crossed the rest of the week goes smoothly

Littleham · 15/06/2015 20:57

Geography 'ok'. Not entirely sure what that means. Confused

A day off tomorrow. Smile

Glad the Chemistry exam was good.

Last one tomorrow. DS seems chilled although I'm nervous for some reason. I think I'm a bit worried that revision was effectively abandoned over the last few days. Oh well he only needs 90% Hmm

DS has needed 90% in practically all his exams but it isn't gonna happen!
Today I had an email from TSR about Clearing, probably best to keep that one... Hmm

MrsBartlet · 15/06/2015 21:22

Lol NiceCardigan - hope tomorrow goes well.

mumslife - dd is doing RS. She has been sat in her room all day writing copious notes all over the texts that they need to know. From what I understand they are presented with one paragraph from the texts and have to talk about it but they need to know all the texts well so that they can discuss whichever one they get. Dd has just come downstairs and moaned about how much she still has to do as she missed several lessons when they studied one of the longer texts. She is not a happy bunny!

MrsBartlet · 15/06/2015 21:25

Dh and I were trying to tell dd that this is the final sprint to the end and she can't give up now. She has sort of growled at us that she would like to see us work this hard for so long and stormed off upstairs - roll on Thursday!
