I;m not sure when the finance deadlines are mumslife but I would assume you can start the process now. Choosing accommodation is down to the individual universities.

JWIM · 13/12/2014 15:58

We had a talk about finance recently and the online application for tuition fees for 2015 was said to open some time in January.

Horsemad its where she wants to go if she doesn't go to Uni. at the moment still very much 50/50 between Uni and conservatoire

Eastwickwitch · 14/12/2014 20:02

Do we think there won't be any more offers this side of Christmas?
DS is bored of me asking "any news?"

webwiz · 14/12/2014 21:45

I would have thought the offers would carry on for a bit longer Eastwickwitch I think DD2 got one very close to Christmas the year she applied.

seimum · 15/12/2014 16:23

I'm hoping DS gets an offer from Essex on Wednesday. He was there for interview/open day last week, and the admissions lady said that she would be inputting the offers into UCAS then.

Horsemad · 15/12/2014 21:26

DS has been invited to interview at M'cr in Jan Grin

It's been all go here tonight - DH accidentally cut the Xmas tree lights whilst trimming a branch off the Xmas tree - while I was holding the wire!!! ShockShock

DS's invite came through at 8pm!

Littleham · 16/12/2014 09:28

That's good news Horsemad - the interview I mean, not the near electrocution! Grin

Moving back to this thread now that my dd's interview is over and done with.

DS got his last offer yesterday and one of his friends got one today Eastwick so they're still coming in.

DS now has five offers and has already decided on Exeter as firm (AAA) and Royal Holloway (ABB) as insurance. Just got to get the grades now!

Horsemad · 16/12/2014 16:32

Your DD is a star mumslife. 10/10 for perseverance. Well done to her! Smile

stonecircle, well done to your son on his final offer and all the hassle of firm/insurance over and done with too! Grin

circular · 16/12/2014 16:53

Very well done Mumslifes DD.
Hope they headaches improve soon.

Eastwickwitch · 16/12/2014 17:42

Your DD shows real perseverance Mumslife and good news for your DS Stone, it must be a relief.

DS has got a second offer from Exeter today, he applied for two different courses, this one's for the one he really wants. AAA. It's a big ask for him but it's good to have an aspirational target.

Have just called UCAS re: choosing firm and insurance choices. We have until May 6th if all offers are in by March 31st.

means we can go to applicant days and be more sure of our choices.

DS now has his expected offer from Essex.

He decided not to go to the interview/open day at Surrey - as he thought they would have a similar offer requirement to Southampton, and he prefers Southampton.
So assuming Surrey won't offer, he now has 3 offers.

His last interview/open day is not till February, so no more progress for a bit. He could concentrate on his schoolwork, I suppose.

QuicheLemon · 18/12/2014 13:43

Quick question for all of you who've been doing this for the last three months... We're very late to this.

DS's UCAS applications was apparently sent on Tuesday in a huge batch. Now has a notification of receipt for one and an email offer from another but it's not updated in track. How long can it take for track to update?

quiche, DD recently had an offer direct from the university which took three days to update.
