Tuesday (forgot to update)
16k steps
1600ml water
Calories hit
protein hit
fibre hit

I have some new found determination so I hope it lasts. Think actually facing up to my weight has been the turning point

Well done on the 10k wall @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo

Great @runningpink hold on to that determination! That was me in January when I decided to properly knuckle down.

I am not so good on the calories this week, as on holiday for half term, but you have just spurred me on to go do a class instead of sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit (have been catching up on a few jobs around the house all day).

TeeNoG · 19/10/2022 20:55

Good work @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo & @runningpink .

I'm currently in the South of France, living on pastry and wine. Getting plenty of steps in though, so hopefully the damage won't be too bad come Monday!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 19/10/2022 21:46

I hope there's cheese too @TeeNoG just for the protein 😀

TeeNoG · 22/10/2022 09:01

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo Don't worry, I included cheese with enthusiasm!

Got back home in the early hours and sincerely looking forwards to some veggies and water in my diet. Christ knows what the scales will say on Monday 😬

TeeNoG · 24/10/2022 06:56

Up 1lb at 150.7 this morning.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 26/10/2022 16:13

Similar story here @TeeNoG but I only have myself to blame!

How are you doing @runningpink ?

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 26/10/2022 18:49

A very sluggish bodycombat class done. But at least it's done!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/10/2022 13:17

Hi everyone! @TeeNoG @runningpink @Tomorrowisanewday @mapleleavesreturn @WouldBeGood I hope all is well in your worlds.

I've been off the boil intermittently since the summer but have woken up feeling a bit more determined. An article on how much protein I should be eating set me off - I thought I wasn't too bad, but I should be eating much more! So two boiled eggs for breakfast today instead on one and no toast! I've been snacking far too much of late - sugary things and crisps so hoping upping my protein will help with that.

If anyone reads this and has some protein snack tips I am all ears!

mapleleavesreturn · 28/10/2022 13:24

Doing ok here, no major weight loss to report! Have laid off the booze quite a bit but wine last night - returning to the fray soon!

runningpink · 28/10/2022 13:34

My motivation went as quickly as it arrived! 🤦🏻‍♀️
I was fine until I ran one day last week then I was starving so went haywire. Then raced at weekend so needed to eat more before and after that so iv kept spiralling.

I have a busy weekend involving food and alcohol so aiming for a reset on Monday again!

Also injured again so running is out for time being yet again. I have got the turbo set up even though I don’t enjoy it and I hope to try weights again next week. Injury made me too scared this week incase I made it worse.

Protein wise babybel light are fairly low calories and decent protein. Low fat Greek yog. Aldi do protein yogurts, can’t remember the amounts but again a decent whack. Eggs, chicken, tuna. Aldi protein granola.

Well done on bodycombat @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo

Im trying to tell myself half a stone by Christmas would make clothes less tight then can focus on next half stone at a time.

Im a bit worried about WouldBeGood. I sent her a wee PM to make sure all is ok as haven’t seen her post in weeks but no reply. Hoping she is just having some time out and will be back kicking out butts again soon. 🤞🏻

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/10/2022 14:11

Aw, sorry to hear about the injury and motivation @runningpink it's so hard isn't it.

Half a stone definitely makes a difference on the clothes - that's a good goal. Thanks for the protein suggestions, I just need to keep on it, and have more protein around when I'm feeling peckish!

Also hope wouldbegood is ok, I noticed she's not been around too.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 09/11/2022 13:53

Just sending a little 👋🏻 to you all. Hope everyone is doing ok and making some progress.

I'm still at my post holiday weight, just seven weeks left of the year to try and do something about that. If I could lose 1lb a week I'd be made up...

TeeNoG · 09/11/2022 18:58

Hi @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo .

I'm in the same position as you. Started my fitness pal again today as it really worked for me in the summer.

My motivation for exercise apart from walking just can't be found at the moment!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 09/11/2022 19:56

I started calorie counting again today too. I need to find my exercise mojo. It's so hard when you come home and it's dark. And our house is bloody freezing as heating is broken, do the idea of stripping off to put workout clothes isn't appealing. I'd love to knock off half a stone by Christmas though. DH and I are on the same page which helps!

GoldenSongbird · 10/11/2022 16:39

I've just been plodding away, roughly losing 1lb per week. At this rate I won't reach my goal till next summer.

TeeNoG · 10/11/2022 20:38

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo it definitely helps if you have someone with the same goal. I managed to stick within calories today so it's a start!

@GoldenSongbird a lb a week is an awesome and realistic way to sustainable weight loss, well done 👏

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 11/11/2022 08:04

Slow and steady is the best way @GoldenSongbird , well done!

I was rubbish yesterday - but I'm adjusting to new hrt regime and caught caught out with unexpected period which has left me feeling awful. And craving carbs. Will try to re-start the exercise today!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 11/11/2022 08:09

Well done for sticking to calories @TeeNoG - I just updated my app, about 300 over yesterday, so not tooooooooo bad. Just need to try and be good over the weekend!

TeeNoG · 11/11/2022 09:47

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo I agree, 300 over is by no means terrible! I'm going to be very compliant today, but we are going for a very rare night out without DS tomorrow, and I plan on eating what I want! It's Tapas though, so fairly easy to keep it pretty healthy anyway.

Keep going!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 11/11/2022 10:52

Thank you! Enjoy the tapas. We have the cinema tonight, so need to watch the snacks!!

runningpink · 28/12/2022 21:13

Hello you lot!
Apologies for the radio silence. Life has just been hectic! Needless to say diet and exercise have been non existent!

But I have joined a gym again and signed up for PT.

Who is back in starting next week? I plan to kick start on Monday/Tuesday as I’m away at the weekend.

Water

That's spooky, I went to the gym this morning and thought about posting to see how you all were. Then I decided you'd all be too busy with Christmas. For various reasons, mostly family, I've not been thinking about myself much the last few months, but since we seem to be coming out the other side, I'm going to start thinking about me again x

runningpink · 29/12/2022 08:52

Well done on getting to the gym @Tomorrowisanewday
That’s good to hear that things are getting better for you

Anyone who has firm weights at gym. How long did it take before you started to see a difference in weight loss/inches etc

mapleleavesreturn · 29/12/2022 08:53

Hello!! I did a yoga workout yesterday and hoping to have a 6 week blast of daily exercise from Jan 1.
