I'm in the car reading a few threads where folks are fed up with the misery and fighting so thought I'd start a new thread. Not for politics or covid or fighting , just general stuff 🙂

I've had a nice day, off work on hols so we took a wee drive down to Peebles and had lunch, bought a few pies from lovely butcher and now heading home.

@Ladylunchalot, thanks for the reminder..i bought my xmas bottle of Baileys last week and I'd forgotten about it....might have to pour one soon...the bottle will last me well into next year. Im a total lightweight now Blush

Groovee · 21/11/2021 20:14

Had my booster yesterday. They asked me at check in if it was for both and when I said just Covid booster they were fine with that. Was a 90 minute wait though.

Had a sore head and my arm aches

TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong · 21/11/2021 20:38

I had mine this morning... same scenario...

ssd · 21/11/2021 20:55

Someone told me if you take paracetamol before the booster you wont feel as bad? Im going to try it if i remember !! I felt rubbish after the first 2 and dont fancy that again...

I need to stick to scotsnet on here. Too much shite is annoying me again. Too much people crying at Adele and other nonsense. Do people really live like that, shaking and crying at shite that happens all the time? I want to keep posting did ye aye but am sitting on my hands. AGAIN Grin

dementedpixie · 21/11/2021 20:59

Why crying at Adele? How bizarre

ssd · 21/11/2021 21:01

Crying at every sing she's singing on an audience with Adele on itv .

Ladylunchalot · 21/11/2021 21:05

I would be crying if you made me sit and listen to her!!

ssd · 21/11/2021 21:16

Me too Grin

And the audience is full of celebrities. I hate that sort of thing , rich famous people watching a rich famous person. I just think, why not have an audience with ordinary folk who probably couldn't afford a ticket otherwise? Its all luvvy duvvy arse kissy shit that gets my back up every time.

Haudyourwheesht · 21/11/2021 21:36

Oh me too. DH had it on for approximately 14 seconds and it was horrible. Horrible, money grabbing, BORING singer, and lots of horrible hangers on. Horrible.

ssd · 21/11/2021 21:37

Yep
When i seen andrew lloyd webber in the audience i had to turn over, that and an over excited emma Thompson

ssd · 21/11/2021 22:00

Anyhoo...
Who is watching David Ginola on I'm a cele Smile

WouldBeGood · 21/11/2021 22:02

Oh, didn’t know it had started @ssd but that might tempt me 😃

ssd · 21/11/2021 22:05

Oh aye Grin

Scottishskifun · 22/11/2021 11:12

Just catching up those cakes look epic!

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the rugby @prettybird I have absolutely loved being back at Murrayfield and back in our old season ticket section. It's been brilliant fun and DS (coming up to 3)has been loving it (his first game he was 5/6weeks old) and the atmosphere which other than no face painters all feels normal 😊

prettybird · 22/11/2021 11:36

Loved being back at Murrayfield @Scottishskifun - just glad that we didn't pay for the tickets Wink

Whoever thought, all those years ago, of making the 2nd verse of Flower of Scotland a cappella was a genius. The sound of the full stadium belting out the words is so moving Smile although dh says it was probably because the band was always way behind the crowd by the second verse Wink

The barney at the end between Finn and Hogg at the end was quite funny: Finn wanting to kick to the corner despite the fact that the Japanese had just loved running at us all game, and Hogg as captain was telling just f*%#ing go for the posts Grin

Scottishskifun · 22/11/2021 11:41

Haha fair dos @prettybird yes for us we have been in the same section for years have a WhatsApp group and it's like catching up with friends and family so regardless of the game we always have fun despite no more sharing up and down the rows of smuggled hip flasks Wink

shouldistop · 22/11/2021 19:54

Baby shouldi can now take 3 steps Grin he's got a couple of weeks until his birthday. I wonder when he'll be able to walk across the room.

prettybird · 22/11/2021 20:02

In nice news, I picked these from the garden yesterday - but that's the last of the flowers.

For 10 months of the year, I can enjoy flowers from the garden but from this weekend I'll have to start buying flowers until the snowdrops arrive and the rest of the spring bulbs start flowering.

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 20:10

Aw! Hurray for baby @shouldistop

And those are lovely @prettybird

GrouchyKiwi · 22/11/2021 20:24

Well done Babyshouldistop! (the answer is Yes, give your parents some time to baby proof).

Beautiful flowers, prettybird.

ElephantOfRisk · 23/11/2021 10:57

I meant to post this a couple of days ago as it gave me a laugh, then I forgot and now I've remembered.

There was a post on our Next Door local page from a person with an Eastern European name (not being racist, it's relevant). The gist basically was that he was wondering if anyone had heard something going about the locale playing creepy music? he'd heard it starting and stopping and moving about and it was roughly the same time every day. he didn't know what it was but it was freaking him out. First reply was "Dinny worry pal, that's just the ice-cream van, no a creepy clown coming to murder ye". Sometimes you've got to love Scotland. Poor bloke had obviously never come across one before. I hope he's happily working out where it stops and getting himself a cone! Grin

Beautiful flowers pb and well done to baby shouldI I can't believe that he's already at that point when we were following your pregnancy when we were under lots of restrictions.

To my mum's annoyance, my two both walked a week after their first birthday when all other DC walked before their birthday. I don't think she forgave me that! However I would say that when mine walked, they just walked, there was no couple of steps and working upwards - I didn't get any credit for that.... Grin

ssd · 23/11/2021 11:07

Thats funny about the ice Cream van @ElephantOfRisk Grin
Im waiting in line for my booster, i bloody hate needles and I'm trying not to be scared. I'm just keeping my eyes on my phone so i dont see anything scary, its bad enough turning on the news and having needles right in your face every night

ElephantOfRisk · 23/11/2021 11:13

Oh that's hard @ssd. Hope it goes well. I've got mine tomorrow evening and wondering whether or not to get the flu one. I've never had it before but have had two bouts of flu, one at about 16 and the other at 20. No fun on either occasion. I've never been offered the flu one and wouldn't have sought it out.
