DH and I both received our appointment for second vaccination today. We had our first jab end of March and my second is due on 22nd May and DHs at the end of the month.
He's a bit disgruntled that we're not at the same date - we were before - but really both of us are quite impressed it came through so quickly as weren't expecting it until end of June.

WouldBeGood · 05/05/2021 15:58

that’s great @rookiemere!

DP gets his second next Monday.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 05/05/2021 16:04

That's great, I had my first end of March too. My parents both had their second jab early. The second dose numbers are flying up so you can see how they're managing to do it.

RedactedTaeFeck · 05/05/2021 16:11

DH has had his 2nd and I'm hoping that mine isn't scheduled for the only time I'm not around. That would be mid June and at about the 11 week mark after dose 1.

RedactedTaeFeck · 05/05/2021 16:12

I wonder when they will get round to the younger groups. DSs are 20 and 19.

WouldBeGood · 05/05/2021 16:16

I really hope I get my second in time to travel if that’s possible... feeling a bit more hopeful!

EvilOnion · 05/05/2021 16:19

I'm in Moray, our schools seem to be having massive problems (48 in local secondary and a whole year isolating in local primary last week) - not quite sure what's going on as our numbers were consistently low in comparison to most of the country last year!

Also had a cluster related to B&M Hmm

ToooOldForThis · 05/05/2021 16:23

Ayrshire here, our numbers are coming from schools too as far as I know. Huge group of s6 had to isolate recently after a party. 🤦‍♀️

Are pubs opening indoors on 17th? Like no food ones?

dancemom · 05/05/2021 18:10

Ooh I got my first at the end of March, hopefully I'll get word about my second dose soon 🤞🏼

From the BBC website.
A move to level two would allow limited numbers of people to socialise indoors, permit pubs to serve alcohol inside and see an easing of restrictions on theatres and cinemas.
I'm forecasting the sleet, snow, hail and minus temperatures will be replaced by the sun splitting the trees and a heatwave.

*On 5 May, Public Health Scotland were aware of a data flow issue from UK Government Testing sites.

Today's total cases and tests includes those affected by this issue, which has now been been resolved.

Ten more people in hospital than yesterday? That seems odd, wonder if that's a weekly figure now.

@SoMuchForSummerLove it's probably related to the Moray outbreak which has gone so bonkers they are now vaccinating all 18-39 year olds ASAP!

florafoxtrot · 07/05/2021 15:27

Increases in hospital numbers in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and in Grampian. Not all attributable to Moray.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 07/05/2021 15:38

I suppose there will days where various admissions contribute to what fees like a teeny 'spike'. It just feels 😬 to see hospitalisations go up for the first time in a while.
