8000 posts - how do we find so much to talk about

I can understand Dior - I think we all feel like that sometimes, ive hardly been on for months but have posted quite a lot today. I come on for a larf not to argue with strangers.

I agree with TFM it does get quite nasty on MN sometimes - the thing is when you join a conversation you dont know who else is taking part in RL you would think "oh I dont like the look of her" and not get involved - you dont have that on here do you, to an extent thats a good thing but there are definately some people you dont want to tangle with I think most of us are on FB.

WilyWombat · 21/01/2009 14:20

Im quite cross on your behalf Ginny its crazy the way it works isnt it - you cant blame people for thinking "sod it i'll just claim benefits" they system seems to encourage that doesnt it?

ginnny · 21/01/2009 16:35

Thanks for the link TFM - I'm going to phone the job centre and see what other benefits I'll get.
All for the sake of 2 hours work! I'm tempted to tell my boss I'll do an extra 2 hours for nothing (which will only mean 2 more hours faffing around on MN or FB anyway . I'll find out more about my options before I do anything so drastic!

You are welcome Ginny. You might be better off with a top up of income support, you get a few more things with that such as free school meals. I hope you manage to sort it out anyway

I was thinking, maybe now we are all pretty sorted relationship wise, would we feel a bit better if our next thread was in chat? Just a thought

Or maybe in Goodhousekeeping.....

Lilyloo · 21/01/2009 20:49

LOL TFM at outting thread in housekeeping

Dior sorry you feel the need to do that but we will till be here when you come back.
Hope the crafting goes well and am def going to get a notebook for my friend will pot nearer time so keep lurking

LL glad you had nice birthday , when is scan now ?

Baffy ds used to suggest random names from oxford reading tree Biff Chip Have you any ideas for names?

HW at email

Tannee at the driver , poor dd!

WW agree it isn't such a nice place to be on here at times. I used to find loads of things that interested me. Now tend to stick to couple of threads where you can actually say what you want without fear of it kicking off.

Actually wonder if fandg would ever have happened if Baffy and TFM had their threads now??
Threads were supportive then now they just disintegrate into arguments.

Lilyloo · 21/01/2009 20:51

Oh and Ginny don't mention tax credits we lost quite a lot from them when i finished at work.
Hope you can get the couple extra hours!!

HappyWoman · 22/01/2009 06:58
