Need to vent somewhere as can't talk to family and friends as it is so disturbing / disgusting.

I have been with "D"P for 2 years. It has not been plain sailing. He has been abusive to me, mostly verbal but really vicious things.

I said, in desperation really, that if DD (who's 23) told me her boyfriend treated her like he treats me I would tell her to end it. Because he just couldn't see how the latest thing he had said, to upset me, was so nasty.

He replied saying if "I had a son I would also tell him to get the fuck out [if son was treated badly by someone like me] but I would be a good father and not go out and get drunk with my son and let him fuck like rabbits with 2 or 3 men in a month. Thank God I will never be a father and I won't leave another monster behind 👹, who doesn't have a sense of reality 🥰🫶"

I just feel absolutely sick. It is true I have gone out with DD and had a few drinks. But she is 23!!!! And he knew she split up with her long-term high-school boyfriend, dated someone else, then ended up with her current partner, who's lovely. But what is freaking me out is the way he references my daughter "fucking like a rabbit". It's just so abhorrent to me. He's met her, and they've been cordial. And all the while he has been secretly judging her.

Also implicitly calling me a monster and saying I am leaving behind another one (IE, my DD).
I don't know what to do now. Every time I look at DD I feel sick thinking about what he has said about her. I had mentioned her relationship changes in passing because we are very close; but not in any detail.

Please, I need help with how to proceed. I am shaken and devastated. I am seeing him in a totally new light.

He's abusive to both yourself and your child. There is nothing redeemable here. Throw the whole man away.

weeat · 15/10/2026 09:46

Hs abusing you op, and now starting to abuse your daughter. very dangerous man; you are only 2 yrs in with no kids together (as per post) Make sure you are safe and end this now. You know it. Do not let the narc weedle his way back with apologies…keep yourself and your daughter SAFE!! Good luck x

Ophy83 · 15/10/2026 09:48

End it. Block him.

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 15/10/2026 09:48

He isn't a partner, he is a date that has outstayed.

Why are you putting up with any of it.

Finish it today and then do the Freedom Project/get some help, you are worth more.

OriginalSkang · 15/10/2026 09:48

He was a shit partner anyway and now he's said this about your daughter - there is only one sensible course of action

Lifenov86 · 15/10/2026 09:51

He’s one to throw back op.

whatwouldlilacerullodo · 15/10/2026 09:53

Why the fuck are you even engaging with this man? Do you expect that he will change personality and act decently? It won't happen.
(It's "brought")

Diamond7272 · 15/10/2026 09:53

He sounds like a real loser.

No one else would want him.

One of life's wasters...

Jellycatspyjamas · 15/10/2026 09:53

How do you not know how to proceed here! He’s abusive to you - that’s the disgusting thing here, you can’t hardly be surprised he’d abuse your daughter too. You end it, end all contact with him, anything short of ending the relationship gives him permission to keep abusing you.

FrauPaige · 15/10/2026 09:55

Just 24 months in. Come on, mate. You know what to do.

Wishimaywishimight · 15/10/2026 09:56

Why are you even with such a horrible person? Just ditch him, he doesn't even seem to like you.

CocksBolingey · 15/10/2026 09:57

"Please, I need help with how to proceed. I am shaken and devastated. I am seeing him in a totally new light".

Put this twat in the bin.

dontgiveafigso · 15/10/2026 09:57

You are choosing him and to be with him and stuck it out for two years. This is a choice you’re making. Sorry, but this is on you.

Itsthewoluff · 15/10/2026 09:58

Even without the dd detail, why on earth are you staying with how he speaks to you?

I’m not judging you as I know there are plenty of women in your situation, but just trying to understand you.
What is his power over you. Why do you stay? What is stopping you from leaving? Why haven’t you realised before now that this is such a toxic relationship and why haven’t you finished things before now? If you can search for the answers to those questions, it might help you gather up the courage to leave.
Surely you have no choice now after what’s he’s said about dd?

pilates · 15/10/2026 09:59

He is the monster and you need to end this relationship.

Lumpyteats · 15/10/2026 10:01

The real question is why are you hanging around begging him to be nice to you?

That should be a given in any relationship.

Gengha · 15/10/2026 10:02

Tell him to fuck off he’s a prick

GentleSheep · 15/10/2026 10:02

OP he will judge ALL women in this way so it's no surprise he judges your DD in that light. He is a misogynist and abusive, and you must make plans to leave asap because things will only get worse.

PropertyD · 15/10/2026 10:05

Quite honestly I despair of women who put up with this sort of thing because any man is better than no one? Why do they do it? OP - fgs leave and have a happier life. You arent no one without a partner.

Lindy2 · 15/10/2026 10:06

Well obviously you end the relationship.

I'm struggling to understand why you haven't already when you know this isn't a happy partnership.

Move on.

CamillaMcCauley · 15/10/2026 10:08

What is the confusion here? You leave this absolute waste of oxygen.

emuloc · 15/10/2026 10:09

What do you want going forward OP?

Nail on the head.

LittleMonks11 · 15/10/2026 10:09

A ‘new’ light? Pick up and ship out of this toxic ‘relationship’.

💯

this is on you. It’s two years? That’s nothing op. You can leave in a second and not look back.
