For anyone who is still offering messages of hope, wisdom and general loveliness 🥰

I won’t be doing a single thing to help him out next Wednesday. It’s his own issue to solve. He’s even had the audacity to text my mum and ask her if she’d have the twins. She replied “what do you think?” 🤣

Your mum, the same woman he said he'd refuse to speak to ever again because she gave him some home truths. The audacity is off the chain

mummy917 · 14/09/2026 20:42

My mum rang me earlier and told me and I just laughed. It doesn’t surprise me, because he has no shame when it comes to not wanting to be there to be a parent to them, and will ask whoever (within reason) he thinks he can, so he doesn’t have to do it.

Funnily enough he didn’t respond to my mum again after she replied to him 🤣

After he complained about your mums contact with him before when she gave him her piece of her mind I can’t believe he asked her!!

What a stupid cunt. He's excelled himself by asking your mum. He must live in some kind of parallel universe.

This with bells on!

I keep thinking that his behaviour will no longer surprise me, and that my opinion of him could go no lower, but each time OP posts his latest antics, I am even more shocked and disgusted by him than before. How low can this all go? What the hell is wrong with him?

Alycie · 14/09/2026 21:14

It’s just really funny that he did that. It’s also quite awful but, do you remember that you said not so long ago that not much of what he did would surprise you anymore? Well, I bet this was a surprise!

Nellodee · 14/09/2026 21:55

I hope your mum also specifically said no, because twattoo is deluded enough to take “what do you think?” as a yes.

roseymoira · 14/09/2026 22:04

Wonder if he had to unblock your mum to ask her?

My god this man is so beyond cheeky it needs its own word! Absolutely shocking. Has he asked a single man in his life to help or is it just women he expects to do everything for him?

Lizchapman · 14/09/2026 19:56

And because he still really thinks this is her job 😂😂😂

Yep. He still appears to think that his role is a few days of babysitting with the help of his long-suffering mum, and then he sends them home again.

I may be crazy, but I think his level of desperation to actually call your mother for childcare sort of says to me that he either doesn't have a new gf to ask or if he does, she turned him down flat.

Pessismistic · 14/09/2026 22:38

Hi op if the twat tries to put this on you tell him you know for a fact his employer cannot stop him being there for his kids in an emergency or punish him. You could say your employer must know you don’t have a wife sitting at home to step in anymore. Then smile. Op he has to let his employer down and not you or his kids. Don’t let him fob you off with his bs. every parent is entitled to emergency time off work. Men usually think it’s the mums job but your 50/50 so it’s now dad’s responsibility. Op tell him it’s only another 12 years or so to go so he might as well get used to it.

Mix56 · 14/09/2026 22:45

So glad you laughed, not long ago you would still have be scrambling to fix it.
A corner turned 👏

Stepping out of lurkdom to say 🤣🤣🤣
The absolute audacity.
The same mum he wanted you to rein in?
He can fuck right off.
Twat really isn't enough.

Your mum is a ⭐

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 15/09/2026 00:45

Your Mum is priceless.

"What do you think?" four little words that summed up so much!

Maybe @mummy917 you could say that exact phrase from now on, every time you want to say no to him. 😂

So he asked your mum but not you?

He knows very well you would say NO to his request.
And he is starting to panic on how he is going to handle it if he is contacting someone has so much issues with.

Thats good. He is feeling the heat.
And your approach is laying too.

unlikelysuspect · 15/09/2026 08:34

Be prepared for Twatoo to not answer his door next Wednesday! I suspect he'll be all 'I told you I couldn't have the kids'

McBuckers · 15/09/2026 10:19

What a complete arse. He really has no shame. On what planet did he think asking your mum was acceptable? I love your mum's response. 😂

MamaTwin22 · 15/09/2026 12:08

Hello,

I've followed your story for a while and i've been in awe of how well you have handled everything. I have to say, i would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you gave him whatfor! Good for you, well done for finding your anger and using it!

Having read the recent idiots saga re: childcare on Wednesday... i'm worried he will do something so he cant take the kids. What if he doesn't answer the door to you/the kids? Would he sink that low?

He did WHAT????????????

The gall - and sheer stupidity - of the man 😱

By the way, you don’t need to be suggesting ‘solutions’ to his mum. If things are too much for her she can have this conversation with her useless son.

BIWI · 15/09/2026 13:59

I agree with @Nellodee - I think you mum should contact him again to say that for the avoidance of doubt, she will not be helping him out.

Anendlessseriesofunfortunateevents · 15/09/2026 14:41

If he asks your little one's nursery to do extra care on his days, do the nursery know it will be for him to pay?

I'd not thought until now, how is nursery fees currently organised? When is it used and who pays? I remember you saying your twins used a nursery but not when they go.

P.S. I am LOVING your mum's response.

His employer can't legally refuse parental leave as far as I'm aware. Not that it's your problem but perhaps a retort to have ready if he tries to put it back onto you again as your problem to solve (given that he's absolutely shameless).

SquirrelsLeap · 15/09/2026 14:46

If I were your mum I’d write “wrt next Wednesday, the onus and responsibility are upon you during your time with your children.”

SquirrelsLeap · 15/09/2026 14:46

If I were your mum I’d write “wrt next Wednesday, the onus and responsibility are upon you during your time with your children.”

And maybe someone could point out to him that if he can’t manage that this will be proof he can’t actually do 50:50 so this will need to be changed going forward
