How on earth do you ‘recover intimacy’ with a photographer there? What is it about this that you think will help? Is it that you are putting more effort into how you look / dress (undress?) for the photo? Is it actually having the third person there?

I dont have any hang ups in how i look snd certsinly get compliments when ive been out, i guess its about me having ghe confidence to express myself and love me, my body and how i look, maybe its validation, haing the attention of a photographer guiding the shoot would also be good to help me and DP

I think it could be a good thing then. Maybe he suggested it as he sees you as absolutely gorgeous but also sees you lacking confidence and thought maybe it might give you a boost and both a bit of fun. I doubt he is expecting to actually do the deed in the shoot but doing something fun and out of your comfort zone as a couple can really be a good thing.

Yes, OP, get your 'fella' to ask what exactly his 'spruce up' will consist of. Chest and back waxing? Fake tan? Public hair waxed into a heart shape? Turkey teeth? And what will his sexy boudoir outfit consist of? Just how committed to this is he?

Because I'd expect at least this much commitment:

I challenge any man to look sexy in that get up 😂😂😂

ToadRage · 31/07/2026 12:09

We did a couples photoshoot recently that I won but not boudoir. If I was feeling confident and much happier with body than I am now I may do one on my own to put in an album as a gift for him but I know he would never feel confident enough to do this himself.

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 31/07/2026 12:11

SO cringe. Nothing would clamp my legs shit quicker than my other half suggesting this.

You're referring to him as your fella. Does he call you his missus? The whole concept seems off!

This and the whole “full make up” and filtered within an inch of your life
just weird
you could do this with AI on your phone if you really wanted some photos that don’t resemble you in the slightest.

Or maybe he's urging her to get comfortable with being unclothed for the camera. I doubt it's a strategy to boost a woman's confidence.
I suspect Brian has dubious intentions.

So contradictory - you keep saying that you'll do it as a confidence boost and to get confident.
I don't think this is the expression of a confident woman. Did your partner also use the term "empowered"?

Beachlover1993 · 31/07/2026 12:44

Hes said hes seen my confidence grow and hes very supportive of me and givrs me plenty of compliments. Hes happy to attend, take part and see where our comfoft zone is. We just need to plan a date

I can’t think of anything worse personally, but if you think some soft lighting, filters and artfully draped scarves will put some spark back then knock yourself out. Or are you talking about stocks and gimp masks ? I think that would be less cringey tbh.

This did give me a laugh…

nothingcangowrongnow · 31/07/2026 12:47

If intimacy is a problem then this would be a nightmare!

SignsofLife · 31/07/2026 12:47

JadoreLeFromage · 31/07/2026 00:10

No. If you cant find the intimacy in a private space how TF do you find it in a dtrange studio with a stranger pointing a camera at you

This

BillieWiper · 31/07/2026 12:50

OMG that sounds so cringe. Surely in this day and age people can just take sexy pictures of themselves and eachother in the privacy of their own home?

The idea of a photographer encouraging me to get into various sex positions or states of undress...I think it might be worse to do it as a couple than alone!

I can imagine it would be tacky as fuck. And why would it be erotic? It would be really wooden and forced.

This!
imagine your relatives clearing your stuff when you die and finding this sort of shit!

He does support me in what i do, im body confident now after our experience on hiliday so have no hang ups about my body,,having a photographer around no longer is an issue with me so im happy to get some ideas for a couples shoot rather than solely me this time

God if DW suggested this I'd need a gym subscription sharpish... and 12 months warning

Wouldn't it help your confidence to be realistic about your body, and learn to love that?
Rather than something altered and styled by a photographer?

Just a late evening beach shoot with a photographer who worked within the hotel. We didnt plan it but the results were really good considering. The beach was perfect csught the waves around me really well, other we did on some rocks nearby

Probably flogging these as he’s got the originals to people this is very common abroad!!
how utterly repulsive 🤮

Besidemyselfwithworry · 31/07/2026 15:35

Beachlover1993 · 31/07/2026 00:10

Why revolting that sounds a bit harsh

Well so far 12 people also think it’s revolting not just me
and I’m still wondering what’s going to happen when you and “your fella” (even tho is weird in itself!) die and your relatives are faced with these hideous images!!! 😂

Beachlover1993 · 31/07/2026 01:03

Well we were thinking of an album. May be a picture for the bedroom also

I hope you ask them to cover this if ever you move nobody needs to see that on rightmove 🤮

PocketSand · 31/07/2026 15:54

How about him in lingerie and you in smart casual wear. He could have the spruce up to look his best whilst you relax into the experience. How sexy is that? Maybe he deserves some body confidence too!

grinandslothit · 31/07/2026 15:58

Does the full makeover include a six pack abs for him, a full head of hair, and an extra big schlong?

NattyRedFinch · 31/07/2026 16:00

What in the 1986, aggressive chest wig, white stockings, leopard skin rug by the fire is going on here?

Pokingbroccoli · 31/07/2026 16:00

Go for it by all means but I'm struggling to see what the point is and what you'd do with them.

If you and your partner find hair do, make up, lingerie, fake tan etc a turn on surely the point would be to actually wear those things when you're thinking of having sex not just have photos of them. Or do look at the photos to get in the mood while you try and ignore the reality of wearing M&S comfy pants?
