Has anyone done a couples photoshoot, been with my partner a little while now and hes asked about a boudoir style shoot together to spuce things up a bit as lets face it things do settle down after the initial excitement of a new relationship. Im a little bit nervous but also curious

People are being mean. If it's visual he might just want some photos to keep when you're not together, or something to share and look back on where you're both looking great. I thought about it years ago for this reason, although not as a couple just me for gift, however he didn't want anyone taking photos of me in lingerie even if they were a woman because he was jealous.

Despite that we were together for years and the one thing we never had an issue with was the sex side, so I don't agree it means your relationship is ending just because something different has been suggested. We tried all different things during the years and it's the one thing I miss about him! Things like not liking this suggestion for that particular reason is why we didn't work out, he was a bit controlling and constantly jealous. This doesn't seem to be the case here.

Anyway, if you're happy with it then why not? People who think it's revolting don't have to join in. Plenty people must do or else there wouldn't be a business for it.

Sorry OP, but I’m laughing picturing my DP being “spruced up” for this sort of thing…
They’d have their work cut out - he’s got a very deep tan but it’s a “farmers tan” from working outside, a lot of tattoos several of which are his beloved football team, various scars and a bit of a belly on him. I can’t see draped velvet doing anything for him!😆
Im creaky & arthritic so I won’t be sprawling on a fluffy rug or bending suggestively over anything. I would need hauling back to my feet as my knees would give out - and there’s not enough soft focus in the universe to hide the fact that we’re in our sixties!😁
However, if this tickles your fancy, go for it! It’s nobody else’s business, so crack on and think yourself lucky that you’re not us!

We have never done a couples shoot but I did do a boudoir shoot on my own as a wedding present to my DH. It was a long time ago now but I enjoyed doing it and I’ve always thought it would be fun to do a couples one. if you think you’d enjoy it, go for it. It’s harmless and you have nothing to lose!

She’s received perfectly sensible responses pointing out that if they’ve hit bed death, an expensively naff ‘boudoir makeover’, which is likely to feel about as sexy as wearing your scanties to the dental hygienist on the day, isn’t going to cut it, especially if she’s being dragged into it by her partner.

Going to a random apartment seems off to me, our local photographer who does boudoir shoots has a studio. I'd be worried you'll turn up and get pressured into making porn.

Someone I know did this. They still have the photo proudly on their wall 30 years later.

It has always made me cringe but it's sweet that they like it. They have had 30 years of feeling happy about the shoot.

My pictures would be all blurred because I wouldn't be able to stop laughing.
