Has anyone done a couples photoshoot, been with my partner a little while now and hes asked about a boudoir style shoot together to spuce things up a bit as lets face it things do settle down after the initial excitement of a new relationship. Im a little bit nervous but also curious

FFS she didn't write spruced up she wrote spuced which was obviously a type for spiced.

OP if you think this would make you fancy each other more then go for it. It wouldn't do much for me, but DH and I do like taking photos in the privacy of our own bedroom 😉

🤢

TheGoddessFrigg · 31/07/2026 08:36

So 'boudoir' is basically a respectable term for 'soft porn shots'? It sounds to me like one step up from dogging- but each to their own...

Needmorelego · 31/07/2026 08:38

Do you find the idea sexy?
If yes - go for it.
If no - then don't.

Additup · 31/07/2026 08:42

So, I may be misunderstanding here because until I read this thread I'd never heard the term 'boudoir shoot'....your partner wants someone he has found to take some porn pics of the 2 of you, but mainly you. Am I right?
If its your thing go ahead but personally I'd be concerned they might fall into the wrong hands....as some saucy Polaroids an ex took of me in a field about 100 years ago did 😂😂😂

Backawayfromthesausage · 31/07/2026 08:43

God I can’t think of anything more cringe. So he wants you to have a full make over, dress in lingerie and have some random photograph you both together. As let’s face it, he’s not having the make over.

whats next a porn movie?

Whynottryagain · 31/07/2026 08:56

I did a solo boudoir shoot for myself - absolutely loved the photos, I felt so sexy! But I did really trust the photographer and know their work. DH loved the pictures when I showed him later (he didn't know I was doing it).

If DH wanted to do one together I wouldn't mind. But I wouldn't do it if I didn't trust my partner completely, thought there was a risk of breaking up / him sharing the images / being pressured to make porn.

He wants to pornify your relationship. Thin end of the wedge…

mindutopia · 31/07/2026 09:05

I can’t imagine anything that would permanently clamp my vagina shut faster than that.

I think it's the woman who gets the "spruce up", it's not intended for the man. Unless string necklaces, makeup and lingerie are his thing.

Yes, OP, get your 'fella' to ask what exactly his 'spruce up' will consist of. Chest and back waxing? Fake tan? Public hair waxed into a heart shape? Turkey teeth? And what will his sexy boudoir outfit consist of? Just how committed to this is he?

Because I'd expect at least this much commitment:

From the pictures ive seen its hair and make up for me, i guess for him it would be extra, or getting a relaxing spa treatment the day before we go

No! Thank the Lord! 😆

We did a beach shoot on holiday recently it looked great so thsts why we are thinking kinda adult boudoir, i found the holiday experience kinda boosted my confidence in general

If your relationship/sex life has taken that much of a downturn, then no amount of photos of your boyfriend standing over you with a whip between his teeth is going to properly fix it.

Talking, spending time together and actually discussing each others’ needs is a much more solid place to start.

These photos could be something you end up regretting.

Beachlover1993 · 31/07/2026 09:23

We are both behind the idea and i trust him about the pictures, from what i read you have a chat with the photographer before you confirm anything and we discuss what we are comfortable with, were fairly open minded about things so happy to explore

So why doesn't he think he needs any 'sprucing'? Is he not just as much 'at fault' for any lack of sexual fireworks in your relationship?

PaperPanama · 31/07/2026 09:25

When we moved into our current home, at the back of a wardrobe we found boudoir shots of the wife.

They were selling because they were divorcing.

Beachlover1993 · 31/07/2026 09:25

He works away so we dont have the fireworks every night, but he gets back ive got no issues with his sexual fireworks, hes a good lover tbh

Oh well. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.

From what ive seen they all have diffefent sets but there are options of hotels and apartments to do the photoshoot in, im thinking maybe hotel may be better

Is it the Travelodge? If it's by the Services you could get a bacon butty afterwards.
