Don’t panic about the pub man yet, it is early days and it’s the weekend he might just be busy. Being out with couples can make you feel lonely but what are the chances that all of those couples you were out with are all happy anyway? Also, the loneliest I’ve ever been was in the second half of my marriage. Agree it is a fine line, but weekends are the worst because they just feel like “couples” time. I usually feel better if I’m single and lonely on a Monday or Tuesday than I do on a Sunday?

I was out with my absolute best friend in the world yesterday who has just got a new boyfriend. He's a lovely guy but was a tiny gut punch to see them so happy and in the first flush of romance.

Anyway... This too will pass!

Oh @CleanShirt that's so frustrating but he could just be busy with other things, or a crap texter. Does he have kids or a particularly stressful job that might be taking up his time/energy this weekend?

Nope, neither of those things! He's been consistent up until the second date so I'm wondering if maybe he's just not feeling it (in which case he should tell me!).

That must be so frustrating, and yes he should tell you if he isn’t feeling it. Hopefully somethings just come up over the weekend that’s meant he’s busy … I don’t like inconsistency though so I wouldn’t like it either.

It’s so strange. I didn’t imagine it Saturday, he was showing definite signs of attraction, he mentioned going out again and even suggested a few places including taking me to his local. He messaged first Saturday night and again Sunday morning then Sunday afternoon the messages got shorter, longer gaps between answers and just much flatter.

I’ve messaged this morning and he’s replied but again just flat.
