H ‘gone fishing’

H disappeared first thing this morning muttering something about going fishing. By the afternoon I tried to call then sent a message to remind him of something we had on in a couple of hours. Eventually responded to say that he was going to be night fishing & would be back in the morning. In this weather.

On a scale of 1-absolute bullshit, he’s a massive liar isn’t he?! There has been infidelity which he would swear is over.

My DH and DS fish and seem to take a lot of equipment with them- has he taken his tackle ('scuse the pun)?

I think, whether he's fishing or not, he's reneged on a prior arrangement and not properly communicated his plans with you. That's not on

Does his phone location put him at a fishing lake?

Surely most adults don’t have their phone location on?

Kids have asked where dad is & wanted to video call - no surprise, no answer!

Has he taken all his fishing equipment? Although, even if he has, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s fishing.

Quite honestly I’m not sure. He left while I was coming back from the nursery run & l’m not sure whether anything is missing from the garage. What he definitely didn’t take is his wellies or any boots…fishing in white trainers in November anyone?!

You could look on the positive side - maybe he’s stopped cheating and now he’s just selfish, inconsiderate, uncommunicative? If he wanted to look suspicious, he couldn’t have done much better though….

On the flip side, my brother is going on a 24 hour fishing trip this weekend. And we’re in Scotland where it’s bitterly cold.
