I am in love and it's making me miserable

I realise this sounds ridiculous but I am completely in love with a guy who I met again for the first time in 10 years last night. He is a friend from school in NZ who is in the UK for work. He is leaving again on monday, just to go back to work, not back to NZ and the thought of it is making me actually cry. Am I a complete freak? what should I do? I am seriously thinking of moving back to NZ to be there when he gets back. Tell me how to get over this please!

oh god what a cliff hanger...
gate crash the pub > thats what a love story would do.....

dizzydixies · 12/04/2008 19:29

no no, she'd need to wait till he's about to board the plane then chase him through the gate bypassing the security and fall into each others arms

beansmum · 12/04/2008 21:22

I've shaved my legs, washed my hair, changed my sheets (mainly because ds peed on them) don't have any wine. I have a couple of bottles of stella, not quite the same though is it? I wish it was tomorrow already!!!!!

OK, good progress.

Now, what are you going to wear?

NotABanana · 12/04/2008 21:31

don't sleep with him straight away!!

expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 21:34

Why on earth not?

He may be leaving soon.

And that way, even if he does and it doesn't pan out, at least you got to shag him.

beansmum · 12/04/2008 21:35

umm...jeans and a top? I don't know. Have to go to church in the morning and there is a chance he could be here when I get back.

I might sleep with him, as in asleep. Although I did 'sleep' with him when I was 16 so it wouldn't be the first time.

OP posts:
NotABanana · 12/04/2008 21:36

Oh, that is different then.

If you had sex with him and it came to nothing wouldn't you feel worse?

beansmum · 12/04/2008 21:38

not really. should I?

OP posts:
NotABanana · 12/04/2008 21:43

not if you don't.

dizzydixies · 12/04/2008 21:56

maybe he'll bring the wine!

expatinscotland · 12/04/2008 21:57

if you want to sleep with him, and he does, too, why not?

beansmum · 12/04/2008 22:03

I think I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, he might totally reject me.

And if he doesn't and I do sleep with him (not planning to but you never know) it's not as if I will have jumped into bed with a complete stranger. I have known him since we were both 8.

just told my sister in a kind of joking way that I am in love with him and she knew straight away that I wasn't joking at all. Maybe I'm really obvious and he knows already.
