Worried00 · 07/09/2023 05:20

My husband went to play darts last night as he does every Wednesday. I’ve woken up at 4.30am and he isn’t home!!!
I’ve tried calling him and WhatsApping him- no answer and no reply. He hasn’t read my messages.
his darts team are his old work mates who I have no contact information for.
im worried sick. What do I do!? Do I call the police? Do I call hospitals !? Help, I feel sick

I didn't want to read this and not post something. I'll be thinking of you. Hope he turns up soon

Kate8889 · 07/09/2023 06:55

Hope everything turns out ok OP!

Thriving30 · 07/09/2023 06:56

Might be worth having a drive to the darts place while the roads are quiet just to see if you can spot his car either in the car park or in the surrounding area? If it's not too far away that is.

Cantchooseaname · 07/09/2023 06:57

I would be incredibly worried, grown man or not. I think if he hasn’t shown up at breakfast, get kids sorted, then check if he’s left car at the pub.
hope it’s all sorted soon.

Loubelle70 · 07/09/2023 06:58

Same as what others are saying. Id normalize the kids morning, get them off to school first, try to ring his phone, ring his work...if no joy ring hospitals then the police. Its out of character xx

AbbeyGailsParty · 07/09/2023 06:58

Hope he’s home by now. Or at least yet you know he’s ok.
If he had been in a RTA , especially as he’s in your car, you’d know very soon afterwards so in that respect it’s unlikely. I think he’s probably crashed out on a mate’s sofa.

HoneyPotts · 07/09/2023 06:59

I hope everything is ok x

Nanaof1 · 07/09/2023 06:59

Please update us when you can, OP. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts.

The above poster who mentioned driving by the pub and looking for his car is a good idea.

Hiddenvoice · 07/09/2023 07:02

If he’s still not home and the car isn’t on the drive then I’d look for his car keys to take the kids to school this morning.
Does he have any social media that you could contact the friends online if you don’t have their numbers?

Personally I would be worried sick too. I know some people are saying he’s as adult and whatever but if its completely out of character and he doesn’t drink then I’d worry somethings happened, only natural fo worry. I would phone the non emergency police number and see if there’s been any accidents.

lalafox · 07/09/2023 07:02

Any update?

ItstimeToMoveagain · 07/09/2023 07:02

I'd be worried too if it's out of character , it's a long time not to be contacted if something has happened though

Boomboom22 · 07/09/2023 07:02

Thing is though if he took ops car he prob didn't drink as he knows the kids have to get to school. Ant no message? V odd, call the police.

whitebreadjamsandwich · 07/09/2023 07:06

Hope all is ok OP

Karwomannghia · 07/09/2023 07:07

Hopefully he ended up having a drink and slept on someone’s sofa but it is strange if he didn’t let you know and it’s out of character.

Not possible on the app

There is a filter on the app, though, which lets you see all the posts by the OP. Well, it does on my iphone and ipad.

Badabingy · 07/09/2023 07:10

I’m sure everything will be ok but I can see why you’re worried. Keep us updated. Xx

I dont want to derail the thread (sorry I know I am) but I'd be very interested to find out where this is on the MN android app

EllaPaella · 07/09/2023 07:12

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair
On the App to see only OP posts click on the drawing pin icon at the top then click on 'see only posts by OP'

Hope all is ok OP - very stressful situation.

Husband hasn’t come home!
Ladybug14 · 07/09/2023 07:14

Thanks Ella. I don't see that screen

I'll start my own thread

Sorry OP, still sending you positive thoughts

Zonder · 07/09/2023 07:15

I hope he is back now with a reasonable explanation.

You're not treating him like a child to be worried. Ignore the posters saying that.

Ostryga · 07/09/2023 07:17

I would phone the non-emergency police line at this point. It’s out of character, he doesn’t drink and he was driving late at night.

You don’t have to wait 24 hours to report someone missing, especially if the disappearance is out of character.

Keeping fingers crossed his phone has run out of battery and he stayed at a friend’s last night and will call you soon.

And this is going to help the OP how? She's going out her mind with worry that her husband, her children's father, hasn't come home and that's the most useful thing you can say Confused
