My husband went to play darts last night as he does every Wednesday. I’ve woken up at 4.30am and he isn’t home!!!
I’ve tried calling him and WhatsApping him- no answer and no reply. He hasn’t read my messages.
his darts team are his old work mates who I have no contact information for.
im worried sick. What do I do!? Do I call the police? Do I call hospitals !? Help, I feel sick

I’ve called lots of hospitals and he isn’t in any of them!
I don’t know what to do or what to think.
i am meant to be leaving in half an hour to get the kids to school and go to work but he has my car! I’m not insured on his

I'm Android and have it

That's not the app! That's the web version

Chippy4me · 07/09/2023 07:38

Please ignore @WilliePhister they obviously have such a miserable life that they feel they need to come onto a thread and try and wind up a worried OP.

It’s embarrassing and you’re pathetic @WilliePhister

Should you not be getting ready for school else you might be late.

EarringsandLipstick · 07/09/2023 07:39

OP, focus on getting the kids to school - taxi, public transport or lift.

Then, if no word, follow up with police. I hope all will be well.

whereismysleep · 07/09/2023 07:39

If you have location settings switched on, on your phone, then Google tracks your location at all times and you can see your location history from any device that you're logged into Google on.

Do you have access to a computer or other device he uses at home?

If so, go onto it, search for "Google timeline", click on it and it will show his location history (if location is on).

Best to try this in Chrome, if you use it.

Apparently you can do similar in Apple, if he has an iPhone. I don't know how, but let us know if he's in Apple and I'm sure others will help.

And this is going to help the OP how? She's going out her mind with worry that her husband, her children's father, hasn't come home and that's the most useful thing you can say Confused

This^ . Theres a time and a place.. this isnt it.
When, he comes home thats where the questions ...rollockings start.
I hope he is safe and just that OP is too busy with kids with new school year to update. Poor woman, must be out of her mind with worry.

Chippy4me · 07/09/2023 07:39

How far is the school OP?

I would phone in sick or be honest sbd explain you have no car (i’d probably lie) and then take the kids to school.

I think this probably means he got drunk and is on a mates sofa

Can you ring his work a little later?

PointyMcguire · 07/09/2023 07:40

@Worried00 have you got anyone who could drop the kids at school for you?

Alycidon · 07/09/2023 07:40

I would start by contacting the place where they played darts, if that's possible. Have you tried trying to find any of the darts team on social media?

MadeForThis · 07/09/2023 07:40

Can you see what time he was last online? WhatsApp or Facebook messenger?

Syndulla · 07/09/2023 07:41

Can you post something on Facebook and tag him in? If he has some of the friends on there they might see it?

AgentProvocateur · 07/09/2023 07:42

OP, do you have a friend you could call on to take the DC to school? After that, if you know where he was playing darts, ask your friend to drive you on the road he wound have taken and look out for signs where he might have come off the road.

How worrying for you. I hope everything turns out OK

OP do you know where he was going last night, which pub? You could phone there to see if they remember them leaving penis they have CCTV.

Do you have anyone that can come over, help you get the kids to school this morning?

I think once the kids are at school, and still not back, I'd call the police.

PickledPurplePickle · 07/09/2023 07:42

Have you called his work to see if he's gone straight there?

Can you call the venue he was at last night and ask them if the car is still there

Is there anyone that can take the children to school for you this morning?

MyGardensAMess · 07/09/2023 07:42

Can you call the place he was playing at last night? Don't drive a car you aren't insured for. It's unlikely anything will happen but if it does, it could be expensive.

Hollywolly1 · 07/09/2023 07:42

Could the car have broken down or run out if petrol/Diesel or if its an ev, I hope you hear soon op and of course you are right to be very concerned as he plays darts on a very regular basis so you know his form if he hasn't made contact with you its very strange

HeDoesntWannaBangYouSomebodyHangYou · 07/09/2023 07:42

Very worrying for you OP, so sorry.

You did absolutely the right thing by checking with the police. Do you live rurally - any chance the car has just broken down?

EveryOtherNameTaken · 07/09/2023 07:43

Do you know where the darts place?

Ring work, get the kids to school and go there.

He probs had a drink. If he's not used to it his tolerance will be low and he got drunker than normal. Hopefully a friend took him back to theirs so as not to bring him home drunk and disturb you.

No reported accidents is a positive sign at least 🤞

Bless you! Omg you must be frantic. Well done for calling 101. Keep trying his phone. Order taxi to take the kids to school with you oc...ring your boss if theyre cool and tell them, they might offer you take day off.
Like someone said, can you go past pub yo dee of car still there,? Xxooxx

AdamRyan · 07/09/2023 07:44

Oh gosh op how stressful for you.
I'm pretty sure you will have third party insurance on his car through your own insurance so you could drive it (carefully)
Or taxi the kids to school

My ex did something similar to this once and its extremely worrying and terrifying. Hopefully your husband will walk in soon with an explanation.

catrescuelady · 07/09/2023 07:45

Do you know the place he played darts? Try calling the venue

BanditsOnTheHorizon · 07/09/2023 07:46

Don't drive an uninsured car.

Can you call upon friends/family or get a taxi?

Thewizardbinbag · 07/09/2023 07:46

You know their names though, right? And where they worked as they were colleagues. Find them on Facebook, instagram, linkedin and message them.

JonjoMonjo21 · 07/09/2023 07:47

If u are fully comp you will be insured 3rd party on any other car. Have u tried any of his friends? Neighbours?
