I send someone a WhatsApp message 1 day ago and he’s not opened the message but I can see he’s been online. Is it possible he’s not got the message or is he ignoring me ?

If it's got two grey ticks and they've been online then yeah they're just not clicking on it and they would see it's got unread messages in your chat with them.

Yes - if he’s not replied and it has two ticks he either deliberately hasn’t opened it or he has, has read receipts turned off, and isn’t replying

The only way you will know if has read receipt on is if you eventually see blue ticks from that message if it's ever read or previous messages have blue ticks.

You can turn it on and off but if you have a message that was fairly recent and it's blue ticks may have it enabled. If all your messages and ones they responded to are grey without any blue then it's likely disabled.

All previous messages have blue ticks.
This one has 2 grey ticks and he was online twice yesterday. Seems very unlike him, the day before he’d sent me a video of him playing guitar! Very odd

I replied to the video he sent and he sent me an emoji (hand form of heart)
I then asked him how he was and how his day had been

If he's not a chatter maybe he can't be bothered. When people ask how my day has been I can't always be arsed to reply. Why not send him a video or something and see whether he emoji-responds

Yes I meant that. Maybe he saved it to reply later and the being online was to answer more urgent messages. My friend does that and after a couple of messages stops answering so I have to get the important stuff in whilst I have her attention 🤣

Sending you an emoji tells me he wasn't in a place for a chat so I prob would've left it there. Don't send him any more messages. I often tell DH I'd have blocked him by now if we were dating as he's crap at replying lol

Sorry also turn off your last seen and online. I turned mine off so people don't think I'm ignoring them and it makes me feel better
