@Lookingoutside

Northern Irish accent 😻

Distant memories of being told, ‘You like that don’t you’. ☺️

This just goes to demonstrate how novelty/foreignness is such a factor; I'm Northern Irish and NI men's accents turn me off (or ar least don't turn me on in the slightest) whereas accents from pretty much anyway else (except a couple of uk regional accents I won't specify in order to avoid offence) are attractive to me.

A guy from here also tried to dirty talk at me once and it was cringe worthy beyond cringe worthy. I don't think I'd have found it as cringe in a different accent.

With DP it was when he came to pick me up from work one day and two colleagues looked out the window and said there’s an insanely hot guy out there. I eagerly looked (single lady) and total cliché he was leaning back against his car door, one hand hooked in his pocket, other shading his eyes so his bicep bulged (yes white shirt sleeves rolled up), long legs in classic old jeans, converse, wavy dark hair rumpled, sunnies on, nice teeth, dimples, grinning up at the window. I’d never (consciously) fancied him before, he was an old pal, but talk about instant fanny gallops.
So what made him instantly hot? Other women pointing it out to the terminally oblivious, clearly!

Suit and tie, thinning on top, in a position of power, bank manager look, preferably has made a big mistake or two

I used to work with PM from NI, her accent was quite strong, best PM I ever worked with didn’t take any shit from anyone
Also worked with a developer for a while from the Dublin area, her accent was like warm treacle, lovely, but a crap developer

I've let go of the 'must be taller' thing @ColourMeExhausted and it is amazing how my sex life has improved... but it's true as a stand alone thing tallness does ring a particular bell.

Yes, I’ve definitely realised that I have an affinity for southern males voices from certain areas of the south (West/North/South London, Surrey, Hertfordshire and Berkshire). I’ve just been talking to a man at work on the phone (he was in Reading) and I could actually feel the odd tingle or two!! I used to love listening to radio phone ins as a younger girl (late teen) with a DJ who had the sexiest voice/accent! I now realise where this stems from!

I’m in the north east and realise why I don’t like northern men! It’s their accent!!!
I need to move south!
