Have any of you repeatedly been an OW, and if so, do you know why?

This is probably not an unknown subject for a post, but I have often found myself to be an OW.

Have any of you tended to be the same, and if so, do you know why you've tended to end up in this position?

Am not going to do it again.

I’m intrigued by this thread! I have been OW once not to my own knowledge, I was under the impression they had separated, I’d stayed at his apartment even left a few bits there, met family and friends. It came as a complete shock when I found out, I was disgusted with myself for being so stupid. I gave him an ultimatum to tell her or I would, I ended up telling her myself. It was horrible but I feel she deserved to know, I know I’d want to know. I’d never intentionally do that to someone and to think there’s woman out there that actually chose to be OW baffles me. Go find your own man, stop wrecking homes.

Kaypee28 · 28/02/2020 21:52

I have been the OW. Now I'm the only woman (nearly 10 years) living my best life 😂😂

Fochit · 29/02/2020 08:18

Same man kaypee28?

ooooohbetty · 29/02/2020 18:54

@Kaypee28 you hope you're the only women.

ooooohbetty · 29/02/2020 18:55

*woman

Kaypee28 · 29/02/2020 23:32

Yes same man & yes I can confidently say I'm the only woman 🥰

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/03/2020 01:38

How long was he married to his wife before he fucked you?

ooooohbetty · 01/03/2020 06:57

@Kaypee28 but how confident are you really? You know he's a liar. You know he has no qualms about cheating. I think you'll never be able to trust him because you know what he's capable of.

ScarlettBlaize · 01/03/2020 07:26

Do you actually think you 'won' some sort of prize here? You lost.

Livelovebehappy · 01/03/2020 08:08

kaypee But what are you having to do to make sure you are the ‘only woman’? I’ll bet you’re constantly checking his social media and his phone, and obviously there has to be sex on tap so he doesn’t stray, and always suspicious of that late night working. Going back to OPs post though, I think if you are unknowingly the OW maybe the guy sees some sort of vulnerability in you, but if knowingly then I would say there’s no excuse and maybe a skewed moral compass set at zero.

@ScarlettBlaize
I’ve just read this thread. You’re a bit rude for someone with qualifications and I completely agree - studies vary greatly. Look at this : www.bbc.com/future/article/20190625-why-we-need-to-talk-about-cheating

Untitledgoose · 01/03/2020 09:27

As a result, estimates of infidelity can vary wildly and are often affected by how data are collected. At the higher end of estimates, 75% of men and 68% of women admitted to cheating in some way, at some point, in a relationship (although, more up-to-date research from 2017 suggests that men and women are now engaging in infidelity at similar rates). One of the lowest published rates of infidelity is 14% – still a sizeable number.

Mamabear88 · 01/03/2020 09:33

Never. Some of us have morals. Unless you have no idea that the man is taken then of course that's different but if you know then carry on regardless you're just not a very nice person....

Kaypee28 · 01/03/2020 09:43

@livelove I don't know where you get all these ideas, they seem crazy to me. I don't have to CHECK that I'm the only one, I just know!! There isn't sex on tap?! That's ridiculous!

@ooooobetty they weren't married.
