C and the (non-existent) FB messages

Morning all.
Can't believe the last thread filled up!
Thanks so much to everyone for all of your responses and your support. It really was invaluable to me.

According to K, M and D, they've had no response from C to their messages asking her to explain what has gone on and why she's been lying. She's seen the messages, but hasn't replied to any of them. I ended up muting my WA chat last night because it was buzzing constantly Hmm Did make me wonder if the chat I was exluded from was as busy...

L has told M that she'd believed C, can't believe she would lie about something as serious as this (nothing about not believing I would do such a thing!) and that she needs to hear what C has to say about it. She hasn't attempted to contact me, and I don't want her to. That friendship is over.

I'm wondering what C will come back with now. Part of me thinks she'll just freeze K, M and D out and not even bother to give an explanation, because how could she explain it?
I'm just so relieved that that's it now - they know I wasn't lying. Although I intend to stay friends with K, M and D, I think my friendship with them will cool slightly. They didn't support me when I needed it, and from their responses/reactions, I'm guessing that they were similarly as gossipy and 'excited' with C and L when this was all going on. I'd hoped they were trying not to take sides, etc - but the way they seem to be almost revelling in this now, with the amount of messaging and speculation - I'm guessing they were speculating about me this way?
It's left a bad taste in my mouth.

Definitely obtain a cease & desist. Also have K, M & D round for drinks - If any of them turn it down then you know exactly whose side their on! - and have it out with them. Are they in this so called 'friendship' with you or are they out? This behaviour of theirs, stirring the pot, is disgusting & cruel

@JaysusWept Please can you start a new thread? This one is almost full.

Me, I'd be round there, on the basis of OP's latest update. Some things cannot be allowed to pass.

DD’s dad has suggested that he talk to C’s husband. Even typing that sounds like madness to me 🤣🤣🤣
Ex knows the husband vaguely, not friends but nodding terms type of thing.
But it’s madness that it’s actually my ex who has my back on this more than my closest friends 😂
This is the ex who lied and gaslit and fucked another woman (who he’s still with now and she’s another fucking twat - but that’s a totally different thread!) and who left me in so much debt. And now he wants to be the cunt in tinfoil for me!
Honestly, I’m laughing now at how absurd all of this is, because if I didn’t laugh I’d be crying again.

I think engaging with K on the phone might have been an error. I think she's trying to play both sides and feed back what you're saying to the rest of the group. Sorry OP. I think it's time to close down communication with them.

I’m actually hoping the Daily Mail prints this.
Fuck them.

In a perfect scenario you would ask the DH about the messages and him being kicked out in front of one of the coven and C. No room for wiggling then when he denies all knowledge in front of his batshit crazy wife.

For the next few weeks, get some Glasgow mumsnetters to come on the school run with you and they can all stand laughing along with you whilst looking in their direction!

It's K who is the real snake in the grass here. She's worse than C IMO; she's lower than a boa constrictor's gonads, and if you continue to engage with her then it's pretty much a given that you WILL continue being bitten. Time to chop this BS off at the knees. Do not accept any more calls or messages from any of these women. Especially K.

Screw 'defamation'. Screw what C thinks, and bollocks to what she's instructed her sheep-witted friends to think. Their opinion of you matters nothing. Meet the Glaswegian Mumsnetters. They sound wonderful.

Can I ask for another thread from any local meet ups telling us where you went and what you did? I like a happy ending of decency and integrity winning out over malice and bullying. This could be one of those occasions. But now you need to let it.

Time to let C, K et al go. For good.

It seems clear at this point that C is a psycopath. A real one.

OP. Flowers

You can fight this or cut your losses and move schools. With how slickly C is playing this, realistically, I would choose to abandon ship and leave them to it. Save yourself and your child.

She's calling you a liar and him a liar (whether he's aware of that, is a different story).

And the only one that apparently saw the messages was her.

There is no way (either of) you can prove she's lying, and there is no way she can be made to show you're telling the truth. This is awful.

Sarahlou63 · 21/09/2019 20:49

Just unfriend them, leave the group and get on with your life. You know the truth and that's all that matters. Time to move on and concentrate on you and your daughter.

It's will all be tomorrow's chip papers.

FFS OP. This is madness.

You could go on the group chat. Put again a statement that you have never messaged this bloke. Put the details of how to get messages back off Facebook. Say that you will donate £xx to charity if these messages are found just so you can get to the bottom of who they are actually from because it's not you. List the places you have spoken to this bloke including the walks home from school. Confirm for one last time that you do not and have not thought of him as anything more than a ( as you used to think) friends husband and that when you asked him about this he looked totally mystified as M can confirm.

Ridiculous I know, but I think you have to keep 'broken recording' your side of the story somehow.

Op send a link to the dailyfail then. They I've this type of fodder, and will print the story with some drama laden title making you out to be a poor affronted hard done by victim (which of course will prove your innocence to the world 😂)

And start a new thread!

I think I'd have to go round to house and set her straight to be honest. With an impartial 3rd party and her husband there obviously. And record the lot. Silly fucking bint.

I think C was going cold because she felt threatened by OP being polite to her husband. Jealousy. And probably because the OP was single and felt threatened by her.

Then she sent the accidental text. And rather than fess up, she caused this shit storm.
