Right!
I've decided wankers aren't going to get me down and spoil my fun!
What happened has happened, I'm not going to change it by moping around. I've reported him anonymously and I'm back in the saddle!
Got 2 dates at weekend and another wanting me for a weekend (been talking ages and met a couple of times)
I'm going to get a notepad AMD write notes because I have a terrible memory 🙈.
So hi everybody

Also, baby sitters? How does it work? Is it expensive?

Gast, argh at Nottingham man! Too gross!

I have precisely no irons, and feeling very tired and undesirable right now, even Stripey hasn't messaged me since Saturday, and while I am not interested in taking it further.... Been signed off work for two weeks with exhaustion because of all that has happened the last few weeks. Going to fill my time with books and piano and horse-riding to clear my head.

Grumpy!

Morning all!

Welcome back eloquent No idea re babysitters. My Mum usually babysits for me, or my sister or SIL. I am very lucky...

gast How many irons?! Grin And ew to the video! Was it completely unsolicited? I'm not averse to a nudey photo or some sexting but they need to ask first!

waving MrTall is really not trying is he?

tanya I feel your pain with regards lack of irons. Books and piano and horse riding sound like excellent ways of filling your time though...hope you recover soon.

So, I messaged Birdman last night. We spent about an hour or so chatting. And it was lovely. And I feel great about it this morning. Hmm Contrast with Sunday morning after our actual date and I felt really down. Not quite sure what's going on.

Anyway, part of the conversation was about delayed gratification. He's into it. I made it very clear that I am not...Grin This is the very definition of "slow burner" I think. He's just bloody lucky that I have no other irons at the mo...

I had a bit of a nightmare getting a babysitter for Thurs. i have three babysitters on the go but two of them were both going to the same party and the third is older and has a job. She still lives at home too so she's not as cash-hungry as the two who are only 16. So, blown out by three babysitters, I've got the younger sister of one to come and ''sit with the dc''. I know my dd will be offended that the babysitter is only 1 year older than her but I won't use the word babysitting, it's just to have somebody else in the house, whose MUM (crucially really) lives 100 metres away. Anyway, phew, sorted now. I couldn't relax until that was sorted.

Gast, you've loads of irons! well done!

Borntofolk, what do you mean you're not in to delayed gratification? You just want sex, and just sex, now!?!?

The video of the man wanking gast! wow. that is so gross. why oh why oh why would a man do that.

eloquent , I did think of asking my mum to babysit on thurs if I couldn't find anybody else but she would have been WAY too interested in H. And then she'd try and stay and chat. She's too romantic. She'd act as though we are a done deal signed and sealed and madly in love (well, i must be in love with him if he's staying over) and it would be a NIGHTMARE

Gast give 30 a fair crack of the whip. Bear's photo didn't do that much for me, but the compatibility of our personalities made me fancy him before the night was over. I didn't flirt with him though. So it could have gone either way. It should have stayed platonic as it turns out, but what I mean is, a man's personality makes him really grow on me. Saying that, I just fancied H the second I met him, and now I miss the more emotional ''connection'' I've had with other men previously.

Ha! 314 No, definitely not wanting just sex and not necessarily right now. But in the past, I've not been great at waiting as long as I should have. Blush And in general, I prefer my pleasures sooner rather than later. Grin The conversation that we were having was actually about wine (drinking right now vs "laying down") but I think there was sub-text.

I think I'm just a bit thrown by the lack of flirting and physical contact is all and wanted to hint to him that I'd be open to moving things on a little quicker...

Yey to eloquent and Flowers and Chocolate for tanya please look after yourself lovely and really re-charge.

MrHotty from Bumble is now in New York. No idea if/when I'll hear from him. It may well all come to nothing. MrFlight has sent message 1 of his regular twice weekly messages. He tells me he has a chunk of time off, but no mention of a date still (must be a month of messaging now surely...) nothing whstsoever from MrIT who I have probably scared off.

Feeling distinctly 'meh' about it all... sits hard work frankly! Maybe I should just sack it all till Easter. I think what with the ex best friend situation and work stress, plus last nights messages from MrIT, OLD is not exactly enhancing my life right now.

Sad

Off to Spain for cheap girly weekend this weekend. Hopefully I'll find my mojo there...

Yes, apart from the fact that I live in a tiny 3 bed terraced house! I'd love an au pair!

Every time H has suggested a night, so far, I've just said if I'm free or not. I don't want to bore dates with babysitting logistics. But my heart seizes and doesn't unclench until the babysitter is sorted. Which it is now (for Thursday, so phew)

Borntofolk! I get it now. I tend to assume that they ''would'' (to be crude) if they want to go on another date. I don't think a man ever bothers to arrange a second date if he ''wouldn't" :-p MANY other reasons why they wouldn't want a second date with me of course!

Waving, Soho is sounding like a lot of hard work. I.e, "I will run away so you have to bend over backwards to make me want to stay."

Report
MrsLannister · 02/02/2016 16:07

He does sound like hard work but at the same time part of me feels for him as it may be just self preservation.

I've been so hurt in the past (as have many) that it can be difficult to take that plunge. Particularly when there is so much distance between you two at the moment.

Maybe you (and he) will feel different when on the same continent Grin

I thought by delayed gratification you were talking about orgasm withholding folk haha.
Soho, would be doing my head in too, but my "push/pull" nature would subconsciously love it and I'd be drawn back every time.

Tanya they are probably all married haha

Thanks for saying hi!

I asked about the baby sitting thing because I'm free kids with dad at weekends. And I'm finding most guys want a date in the week and I can't, so we end up losing contact clearly not worth my time

Do you guys remember the guy who I thought wasn't into me? Well we're going on a daytime date... For a walk. Never done a daytime date before! I like the cover of darkness!

Waving I've being reading your posts about Soho I think he's way to full of angst, I don't know its about the last 4 month relationship going south nor do I think its about any women, id go for a lack of self esteem.

I guess,by the time you wade through of all this you may well find yourself exhausted. I mean, it should be light & Fun in the early days,no. I hope am wrong.....

Gast Teacher was a complete dick am sorry you have to deal with that level of bollocks.

Quick, have we got thread 96 yet? I'm on my phone & can't copy and paste the rules or I'd do it.

In other news, 30 has gone quiet so I'm not quite sure what's happening there.

Did I mention in amongst my dates this weekend I've also got DS1's 6th birthday party?
