Ok, please help. I'm still shaking...
I have one old neighbour whose wife died a little while ago. I've been pleasant to him and had a chat now again. Made him a meal or two when wife died.

Today he came round my house (was home with ds3) and kind of just walked in uninvited.
He said 'he needed a thing or two from a woman now and again and Wold I do a few minutes for £60. I said no way! He said more? I said I don't do anything like that and wouldn't ever consider it.

I'm devastated. Am I over reacting?
He's in his 80's and I don't even want to go out now.

(Hope this isn't coming across wrong, I just know it can't have been easy especially with all the changes of arrangements)

Thanks for the updates Freckles really glad the police have been to see you! I hope that you feel reassured and safer now x

That's good! And those officers should go on and talk to him!

Thank you so much for all your support. I don't know what I'd have done without it. I've had much more here than I RL. Flowers

I'm proud of you :) Well done on making sure that his creepiness has been recorded, and that you now know you can call the cops if he's stupid enough to continue.

How are you feeling?

VenusRising · 09/10/2015 02:25

This reminds me of a neighbour we had when I was a kid.

His wife died and he was forever following me around asking for a kiss, and trying to grab me.

Blurg, I was 8 at the time and I thought he was a creep.

Watch your kids carefully and don't let them talk to him. sometimes dirty old men are just that.

Just read your update- well done, but still be vigilant!!

Sometimes in RL people like to minimise and find the best in others or innocence in bad motives.

I am sorry you don't have this support there, it may be a good thing to speak to a counsellor or someone so you can have that physical support?

SionnachDana · 09/10/2015 19:21

well done. I don't think it should go unreported just because he might have dementia. Nobody knows if he has it or not but you know that he did 'solicit' you. I hope the police spoke to him seriously.
