Hello, I'm Mouse :)

Welcome to the thread, or our mythical Bus called Gerald! Grin

There is room for everyone. Always

There is help for everyone who wants it. Always

There is unconditional support and kindness. Always

We have two sentences that we believe in here -

    • The Vulnerable Need Our Support, Not Our Judgement
    • Alcohol Fosters Inertia

No matter what it is that you drink, how much, how often, we've ALL been in your position at one point or another...... so most of us WILL know exactly what it's like to be YOU

If you'd like to read the last thread, it's below -

THIS IS THE PREVIOUS THREAD

And if you want to read a pretty sobering thread and the history behind these many, the reason why we are all here, fighting to stay/get sober is here -

FIRST EVER BRAVE BABES THREAD

Hope to see you soon :)

Mouse x

spanna!!!!!!!!!!!!!! see above for apologies, thank you for asking after me, work awful but I am coping, how are you, my lovely one? I think your patients are lucky to have such a caring, kind, person around them at their end. I always think a tear shed when someone dies is never a bad thing. It merely proves that someone cared about them enough to mourn their passing. All we can hope for is that our final days are filled with light, comfort and affection. You are an angel.

spanna41 · 03/09/2014 22:52

Wry the thought of epilating my undercarriage is bringing tears to my eyes Shock OUCH Grin

Mouseface · 03/09/2014 22:54

I just wanted to repost the link to the nice, shiny new thread on the last page so that we don't lose any of our wonderfully lovely Babes :)

HERE IT IS, OUR AUTUMNUAL, TIME TO GET SNUGGLY THREAD

Hi babes and thanks for the support so far.
I can feel a massive confessional post coming on but I may hang on til the new thread as this one is nearly full...
I'm ashamed

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 03/09/2014 23:39

Aww just. Don't beat yourself up lovey, I for one live in a glass house with quite a few broken windows. Big hugs for now, will be listening on new thread xx

beachestoexplore · 04/09/2014 01:16

Spanna sweetheart, I quite simply love you Grin. Thank you so much for your kind words Thanks. No school uniforms here but they do get to ride on the yellow school bus. They will come home tomorrow full of news and excitement and I will have a grin from ear to ear . Smile

Ah lovely, the downside of working with the elderly, I guess, is the likelihood that not all will remain well and some will die Sad. How fortunate for them to have a a lovely person like you around them, truly. I hope on balance it brings you more happiness than sadness and I think from what you say it probably will xx

Wry Shock epilator + undercarriage. Sounds more frightening than water torture. Hope laptop sorts herself out soon and well done on being back at work and ignoring old WW.

Mouse so pleased for you and Nemo. What a relief not to be considering another operation.

Night babes.

spanna41 · 04/09/2014 07:15

Good morning lovely Brave Babes

Day 32 Shock

Board games with me old folk today Smile

Hang in there today all babes, remember 'watch the film to the end' The first 5 days are the worst and then it's plain sailing from there (well almost) Try and ignore Saggy Tits, opt for icecream, a smoothy, a milkshake, lovely lunch, tasty dinner, go out for a walk at trigger times Smile

My DDs first day back today, the last year in the respective schools. Blimey time does fly Hmm

Beaches a Yellow School Bus, how awesome is that, can you imagine one as a campervan, that would be so cool Grin Have a good day babe. I want to hear all about their first day Smile

Eccles you're doing really well babe, keep on keeping on Smile

Baby darling are you ok? sending you huggles xxx

Wry I've still got watery eyes Grin have a good day babe and don't let those wanky bastards get you down xxx

See you later on ladies, have a good day Flowers

PizzaMama · 04/09/2014 08:08

Great News Mouse

Day 3 complete for me (but I have to confess that it wasn't through choice). I did go to get a drink but we had no mixer. Luckily, I'm very lazy so couldn't be arsed going to the shop

Day 4 ahead...

PhraseAndFable · 04/09/2014 13:37

I went over too soon!

I'll lend a hand:

PhraseAndFable · 04/09/2014 13:38

PhraseAndFable · 04/09/2014 13:39

Babe

PhraseAndFable · 04/09/2014 13:39

Left

beachestoexplore · 04/09/2014 13:39

a link

venusandmars · 04/09/2014 13:40

OK - you copy the link for the new thread - including the part

Then you do the open square brackets (like this) [[

Then paste the link (including the part)

Then ^before you close the square brackets you type whatever words you want e.g. new thread over here

Then close the square brackets ]]

That should do the trick Grin

PhraseAndFable · 04/09/2014 13:40

Behind

beachestoexplore · 04/09/2014 13:40

Yay!!! Inexplicably happy Grin
