Occasionally bothered by husbands numerous sexual partners

Dh and i have been together about 6 years and soon after we were together he admitted to me that when he was alot younger (18/19) he slept with about 15 (he can't remember exactly) girls when he was at college - all his friends did the same and it was all "meaningless" He was mid 30's when we met and since the age of 19 only had 3 girlfriends and no other casual flings. He regrettted his behaviour at college and got checked for std's soon after he left as he was worried incase he could have passed on anything to a future girlfriend although he said he always used protection. Sometimes what he did bothers me (although i have certain things in the past which i would never do again)but i try to tell myself it was all such a long time ago and his "relationship history" since the age of 19 has been quite tame. I suppose i should put it out of my mind once and for all?

And it seems more likely by the minute...Expat - i used to belong to a climbing club, and get involved in the social activity...

Yes, Blu. I found climing a very . . . social . . . activity . It was all about getting closer to heaven, whether via cliffs or not.

After all, you'll never get to heaven if you're scared of getting high.

feeling much better now! I don't think about it much really anymore and as someone said at least he's had a past so hope fully won't want to make up for lack of experience at some later stage! Just gets to me sometimes that he can't remember how many - but i guess that does show it was unimportant.

Believe me, for those of us who have been there, it's pretty damn unimportant now.

He probably forgot some b/c they were just such utter crap in bed they were nothing more than glorified wanks.

One bloke i went out with had slept with over...300 women, and I believed him, 50 of those where when he was with me !

I chucked a boy once because he just was not up to it and he asked if I was a lesbian.

Isn't it interesting to note how full of themselves guys are when they are, frankly, crap in bed!!! But they are oblivious to this and really and truly think they are the best sh*g ever!!!

Piglet I think you should focus more on the 3 girlfriends since 19 bit which is pretty commendable and shows your DH in a truer light IYKWIM. The 15 college ones really don't matter.

I haven't got a clue how many people H has slept with & have never asked. I imagine it would be way over 15 though! Never known how many sexual partners any of my ex boyfriends had either tbh.
Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it - it's his past & 15 partners is nothing!!

Glad you a feeling a bit less worked up about this Piglet. FWIW I can't remember how many people I had sex with before dh either - I was at university and like most other people had a lot of flings ranging from one night stands to brief relationships. Probably around ten but that's a guess. Point is, I can't remember because it was a bit of fun rather than anything important or life-changing.
