Yes I know, let him go don't be controlling, nothing wrong with it trust him blah blah blah. My bf is 45 trying to arrange a lads holiday while the World Cup is on, clubbing drinking whatever. I didn't particularly like this when I was in my 20s but I shut up and put up for the sake of the relationship. I now I'm divorced met someone else only a year but there's always texts amongst these lads about various trips, pre stag dos here, actual stag dos there. Now flipin Ibiza I can't cope with it. I want a man , not a lad reliving his youth that won't commit. I'm fine with lads nights out weekends away even with the lads, well don't particularly like them but I'll put up with it if it makes him happy, but what about my feelings. Am I allowed to not like it none of my friends husbands/partners do this why bloody me

Cool kidz you mean Wink

Jan45 · 10/03/2014 17:15

Rainbow: a bald gran would shock me more than what she was taking..Shock.

I don't do drugs thanks but I do dance and I'm pretty fabulous and proud to be late 40s.

What you are describing I did in my twenties yes, not now.

You can actually go to Ibiza and not take drugs or get whasted you know.

Jan45 · 10/03/2014 17:16

Trev: Grin

flipchart · 10/03/2014 17:17

To be honest rainbow smiles life has become all about the weekend again.
I've got the money, time and few responsibilities so I can party, have a hangover and please myself. I really don't care if I'm old enough to be a grandma!
And I don't give a fuck who judges, sure we all get old ,but hell, I'm having enjoying the process.

balenciaga · 10/03/2014 17:17

hmm this would irritate me tbh

dh is 42 and would hate this kind of thing, he didn't even do it in his teens / 20's.

flipchart · 10/03/2014 17:19

rainbow who gives a toss what ' the cool kids think!

I would rather shit on my hands and clap than care what they thought!

WhateverTrevor83 · 10/03/2014 17:21

He didn't do what in his teens/20's? Fun? Or holidays with the boys?...

rainbowsmiles · 10/03/2014 17:23

Well flipchart party on fuck the cool kids and what they are thinking.

As for fabulous late forties I'm sure you are but you still look like you are in your late forties and the look is just ummmm.... Well it is a bit hmmmm.... You know each to their own. You wanna party like it's 1999 and you love it- good on you... love life and if that's what you love great.

Jan45 · 10/03/2014 17:24

flipchart: you go baby, ignore the haters lol! Cannot stand judgemental people who are completely ignorant to the fact that not everyone does what they do.

Jan45 · 10/03/2014 17:26

Rainbow: I can assure you I don't, I'm lucky, I have good genes apparently, how is dancing to music exactly hmmmm and ummmm, you really are coming across as a complete hypocrite, now backtracking on what you said above, lol.

PS: Hate Prince.

balenciaga · 10/03/2014 17:28

whoops x posted

good news but as others have said I would be worried he is a bit spineless for pretending to his mates he was going to go

flipchart · 10/03/2014 17:42

Hey, I'm not an Ibizan party girl, just like to out with my mates from time to time. I'm under no illusion about my middle aged appearance.so little digs there don't count for much.

I really don't give two hoots about party people however old they are. Enjoy your one and only life how you seem fit, whether its sex, drugs and dub step, judging people's attitudes or in my case mountain biking down bloody big hills. That's my kicks ( or maybe I'm too old for that, who knows or, indeed cares!)

AnyFucker · 10/03/2014 17:43

hoya, anyone know the dates of The World Cup ?

rainbowsmiles · 10/03/2014 17:47

Aw I'm no hypocrite I just think oldies still partying looks sad from the outside but I'm sure it feels good from the inside.

WhateverTrevor83 · 10/03/2014 17:49
Confused
Twinklestein · 10/03/2014 18:04

Personally, lads' holidays, stag dos, indeed any kind of 'lads' shenanigans would disqualify a man as bf material full stop.

The unspeakable in pursuit of the undrinkable.

Jan45 · 10/03/2014 18:04

You sure Rainbow: You know each to their own. You wanna party like it's 1999 and you love it- good on you... love life and if that's what you love

But yet before that you said it was sad and pathetic....Confused.

Please stop calling us oldies we're not, perhaps you feel that way but I don't.

Flipchart: you are bang on, what a great horizon you have.

rainbowsmiles · 10/03/2014 18:16

Please stop telling me what I can say...Rock on through it dude!! Peace out.

WhateverTrevor83 · 10/03/2014 18:57

normalishdude · 11/03/2014 10:36

Pepperami · 11/03/2014 12:48

Jan45 · 11/03/2014 12:50

Hahahaha.

Poogate · 11/03/2014 12:52

I'm going to Ibiza for my 40th with a mixed group of good friends, (I've been going every year for 22 years), we’re staying in a beautiful villa in a peaceful and chilled out part of the island (in the north). We're going to go to Pacha on my birthday and unlike clubbing the UK, we know we won't feel out of place there, it's an older crowd and anyway with some of the sights you see no one will be interested in us!

I've always loved house music, when you genuinely have a passion for something your tastes don't just change because you get old! My dad was a Stones fan from a teenager and still loves them now in his mid-sixties; he went to see them when they played Hyde Park in the summer and danced the whole time.

It's v sad that certain people think that they have to cease enjoying themselves they reach a certain age. Some of the comments on here are astounding, you need to stop worrying about what about what other people think. Who cares! As long as you’re not hurting anyone. To be honest in Ibiza if people take the piss out of anyone older enjoying themselves, it's the piss taker that looks sad, clueless and judgemental. Ibiza is a live and let live environment, well the places I go to anyway! And by the way I don't take drugs and am not a heavy drinker, I just love life, music, sunshine, people, being with friends, etc.
