Night Cailin.

Dotty, thats good she understands, don't be afraid to ask for anything you need though, x

Offred · 14/06/2012 22:57

Good good dotty. Smile

Olympic, self arranged. Contact right down to 1 1/2 hours per week at crappy time for dcs but he doesn't want to offer more/different. Occasionally wants a ceremonial overnight. I'm not willing for that to happen anymore but ds is upset feels like he wants to see daddy all the time, thinks it is because he is not good enough and that he has to make things right. His dad is just shit tbh. Would perhaps have been better if he'd buggered off.

OlympicMarathonNCer · 14/06/2012 23:11

My ds still went through all that, he got bullied at school for not having a dad, by pupils and teachers. I had to move schools twice and get him councelling. It really is shit for them.

My ds has been completed humiliated by his father but, yep, didn't have to see him, he wanted to for a long time, he had a gaping hole in his life which'll never heal. Your dc's know their dad but it's not a healthy situation. You can ask for supervised access which may or may not help.

dottyspotty2 · 14/06/2012 23:16

Olympic Sad and Angry at bullying by teachers this isn't the fecking 50's and there are lots of reasons for not having a father.

Offred · 14/06/2012 23:21

They won't let us have supervised access. It was a real battle to get it previously when he was being investigated by the police during the court case we had (resulted in no court order as he was deemed to have brought it vexatiously). There is no chance we will get it again.

Offred · 14/06/2012 23:21

And my dd's teacher dislikes single parents/reconstituted families but there are loads at my dc's school.

OlympicMarathonNCer · 14/06/2012 23:24

Yep, I made aquaintances with a high flying lawyer who'd adopted on her own and she had the same problems. Secondry school has been ok but primary was awful, he had one teacher who refused to teach him, the head apologised but did nothing. Ds ended up with an eating disorder, shittiest time of my life.

dottyspotty2 · 14/06/2012 23:25

Sickening in this day and age really is lots of children have lost parents forever through illness and accidents etc others have parents who are abusive would they rather mothers and children where beaten up or assaulted in other ways

dottyspotty2 · 14/06/2012 23:27

I know several single fathers as well who where walked out on [one later had a sex change after getting custardy of his kids off her they ended up in care]

OlympicMarathonNCer · 14/06/2012 23:28

Ds was the only kid at his first primary with no dad around. Lots had separated parents but he was the only one with no dad.

At his second primary, he was one of two without a father around at all and he had the same teacher for a year who wouldn't teach him, which encouraged the other kids.

I have given my ds a really shit start in life.

Offred · 14/06/2012 23:31

Sad not you Olympic not you.

Offred · 14/06/2012 23:34

Everyone but you I'd say.

OlympicMarathonNCer · 14/06/2012 23:35

I know, there'll always be a reason for someone to target people.

The biggest joke is I get women going oh you've got a shit life and you don't even have a bloke holding you back, which usually gets the sharp end of my tongue Wink

dottyspotty2 · 14/06/2012 23:36

Got SFA to do with you that teacher wanted shooting FWIW DD2 was bullied mercislly but teachers did fuck all about it she was 2 lbs off fucking anoerexia at 13 teachers stood by and watched it happen bastards

OlympicMarathonNCer · 14/06/2012 23:46
