Hello chaotic, have pm'ed you

lubeybooby · 05/10/2011 16:44

:o at making an impression. hahaaa

I've had some gooduns in my 'quiver' matches. Often the good ones are years old inactive profiles. Grrr

TimeForMeIsFree · 05/10/2011 16:52

I got a message from someone on Smooch thanking me for looking at his profile and saying 'although we know each other because I have messaged you before, remember?'. I replied with a "Oh no you haven't, I have never 'seen' you before in my life' type of message before I realised it was a ploy of his to get me to reply to him Hmm You gotta watch these blokes you know, they are not all as thick as they are cabbage looking!

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 05/10/2011 16:57

lubey thanks for the confirmation, have replied.

Time I've just had another look at his profile and I do now remember looking at it so, in this case, he's telling the truth.

lubeybooby · 05/10/2011 17:02

Oh yes time, watch out for the 'negative prompt' too.. like 'wow you seem really stuck up. Just thought you should know' so that you reply explaining you are not. or in the case of the one that tried it with me, he got the usual block and delete.

Like the one who messaged one of us asking when she was gonna get a job... that was a negative prompt deasinged for a reaction.

lubeybooby · 05/10/2011 17:03

or designed even Blush

watchoutforthatsnail · 05/10/2011 17:07

oh god, the negative promt - the best one i got was ' are you sure you are female, you look like a transexual. have you had the op yet'

nice, huh

Mmm, I've just had a message from a guy with no photo, who is asking me to give him my email address so he can send me one as he isn't able to put it on the site due to the nature of his job. BUT, he has called me by my old username, one I had on a previous site, yonks a go and well deleted.

I've replied asking him if he keeps a spreadsheet of profiles Hmm It just gets weirder and weirder!

TimeForMeIsFree · 05/10/2011 17:10

Shock I have never heard of the negative prompt! That's another thing to add to the list then!

lubeybooby · 05/10/2011 17:13

I got a message a few months ago from someone who had copied the profile text to the exact word of one profile I had years ago, before my last relationship. I called him out on it and he totally denied it. But it was very specific and I took ages over writing it so I knew it was mine. Weirdo.

Watch sorry to hear you've had a negative prompt too! What an eejit.

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 05/10/2011 17:13

I've never heard of the negative prompt either, until now. As if ID isn't hard enough.

TimeForMeIsFree · 05/10/2011 17:20

This one is denying it too, says he has never seen me before. Liar! I've just highlighted his 'error' with my username so will see if he replies. I should really just block him I suppose buy how very dare he think he can pull the wool over my eyes! This is the trouble with no photo, he could be anybody I've had 'dealings' with.

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 05/10/2011 17:40

Had a message on Smooch asking me 'hi, hows things' so I've replied 'Fine, thanks.' Grin

MsCellophane · 05/10/2011 17:44

Can I lighten the mood - I'm all a flutter

I was asked to book a restaurant for the weekend in my area by Geordie and I replied with what do you fancy... and I got 'you' as an answer Smile

I can't discuss this with anyone as I have a very judgey and nosy family so keeping it all very quiet but I was Grin I really hope he doesn't turn into a dickhead

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 05/10/2011 17:47

Looking good MsCell Grin

Now the next test is to make sure he doesn't forget his wallet Wink

MsCellophane · 05/10/2011 17:54

and also not to forget if he has a wife, my last two boyfriends both 'forgot' to tell me. I dated one for almost a year before I found out - I still have no idea how he pulled it off. He was dumped as soon as he confessed though, I felt awful. The other one was just a few weeks but I do not want another cheating bastard and I must admit, it's really affected me and relationships

NellyNoKnicks · 05/10/2011 18:29

I had a message yesterday from a bloke who talks about enjoying culture, museums being great company, blah blah blah, then his profile pic is him holding a beercan up to the camera, with him in the background wearing a trackie top....

Don't think negatively MsCell, not all men are cheating bastards, you've just been unlucky, just enjoy it for what it is, and keep sharing here if you cant with anyone else Grin

Zanywany · 05/10/2011 19:38

Hopefully he won't be one MsCello, there are lots of good guys out there

When is your date with Mr Guitar Watch

Hope your OK Incognito

I've just been chatting to Mr Body, still unsure althoug he did say that its a shame that he is busy Saturday afternoon (he's helping a friends band) otherwise he would have liked to come shopping with me, he has said he will give me a proper back massage next time I see him (he's a trained massure). The cynic in me thinks that he only mentioned it because he was busy and massage = will try and get in your knickers

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 05/10/2011 19:44
