Hello, I'm Mouse Smile and I have a very abusive relationship with alcohol.

I can't just have one glass of anything, I have to drink until I pass out or run out. Whichever comes first.

This Bus is a place of solace and safety, where drinkers, non-drinkers and those who aren't quite sure can come and post or just sit and 'be'.

No-one will judge you, no-one will think any the less of you because we all have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

And for those who want to read the journey's so far and the original thread by JWN, the lady who very bravely started these journeys for us, HERE they are. Smile

(PS - the title is just for you notevenamousie)

demonicma · 15/10/2011 21:38

hi all
feel yet another row brewing here. when will he realise it's not worth it anymore and just give up?

ThursoVeryWitchy · 15/10/2011 21:42

Hello all,
hello and goodnight, really!

I am really tired, and made Hugh fucking F W's root veg boulangere for supper, which took twice as long to prepare, and three times as long to cook, as he said Angry! Smile.

Half term for me for the next two weeks, first time ever without a DC around Sad. But, had a phone call from both of them today, and they sound really happy, if tired!.

I haven't done so well tonight, not stupid, but, not good, so am going to bed with some tea, and my book.

Venus What time can you collect DD tomorrow? I wish her a speedy recovery, and a good rest. Inspiring name, new start for all? xxx

Much love
xxx

Mwahahahahahahahouseface · 15/10/2011 21:48

ThursoVeryWitchy · 15/10/2011 21:52

Nighty night mrslovelymousethe mouseface Sleep tight, and may the fairies watch over you, and your family until the morning. xxx

venusandallsouls · 15/10/2011 21:59

night night to thurso, ma and mouse

dd is doing great. Huge, huge wound, but making really good progress - she's being brave and sensible. I'm very proud of her, and extremely happy that she is on the mend.

I have really appreciated your support, and I know that I have been ignoring all the posts - reading quickly, but no time to offer anything of pracrical help to anyone. Don't worry, I am looking after myself, sleeping well and eating healthily. dp is the one who's suffering most - he is no longer the centre of attention Smile. Nah, seriously he's a great support. I'm a lucky woman.

venusandallsouls · 15/10/2011 22:02

And next thread is here, only 16 more posts to go until we can have the new one x

Hey everyone :)

Ive just got up with a stonking philly on toast craving, Ive done great in the week, but did drink last night and have also tonight. Not great but Im still doing very much better.

Hows dd Venus?

Mousey how is your lovely little ds doing? and also how are you? Are you feeling bettter after Thursday at all? X

notevenamOoOooOoooosie · 16/10/2011 07:21

Milo what's your interest - in the name of fairness, we do appreciate if people share their recovery not just their links.
loopy - is that abstinent during the week? Are you feeling as much better as you had hoped? What stops you from stopping?
ma how do you tell him? Is it sex full stop you aren't interested in, or sex with him? Does he know which?
Mouse fab new title.
Such a shame for Wales.
I am trying to unbung my head so I can play and sing this morning. It's just great to have life back. The cold, less so, but at least there is no hangover to go with it [hsmile]

sillysillymum · 16/10/2011 08:11

Morning everyone! Slighty boingy today. Well as boingy as you can be with an ear infection (ouch) and after having spent the night sharing a bed with DD1 who kicks like a mule. Like you said, though, noteven it would be a hell of a lot worse with a hangover. So I will allow myself a mini BOING.

Ma I don't know much about your relationship with your DH but it sounds soooo hard. Sounds like there's so much tension at home. Horrible. How on earth can you relax with that kind of atmosphere? I hope you're OK. You must be a strong 'un to cope with all that, on top of life, alcohol issues etc.

Loopy, Spooky, Melody well done on cutting down during the week. Me too! I didn't drink for 5 days last week but then drank Friday, and not just a glass :( I'm not feeling too bad about it though. I felt like absolute poo yesterday and, after having 5 boingy mornings, it made me fully aware of just how much of a negative impact a hangover has on my whole day. I feel different. I hope I'm not speaking too soon but I feel more determined than ever to stop - or dramatically cut down - my drinking. I've always KNOWN that I shouldn't drink so much, but now I FEEL it too if you know what I mean. Today I will not be drinking :)

Venus great news on your DD. Well done you for looking after yourself too. A few of us would be sorely tempted to step off the bus in your situation, I'm sure...

Oh, and I don't like to open random links from people I don't know. Come and say hello Milo :)

Have a good day everyone

EEEEKinthebeeswax · 16/10/2011 08:34

Good morning all. DP had few lagers last night but I busied myself with DCs and had an early night. I really could have had a drink myself, but am pleased I did not.
I am doing well lately, even if I say so myself. You must all think I am boasting but I have not always fared so well.
I think keeping busy is the key. Oh, DS2 slept through last night, he is 1 and he never sleeps!
silly may I join you in your mini boing?
Am going to make a nice beef stew in slow cooker today, should keep everyone happy.Smile

BBwannaB · 16/10/2011 08:43
