I found some porn in my bathroom

.. and asked the DCs if they'd downloaded it.

This was a pretty stupid thing to do. Nuclear war has erupted. The trouble was that in 18 years of marriage, DH has never used porn (so far as I am aware). He never normally goes into that bathroom, whereas the DCs do. Also I did not know that he'd been at home. It never occurred to me that it was him.

Now DD is screaming at her father that he is a filthy pervert. He's screaming at me for being stupid, which in fairness it was. And I'm in shock really.

What next

Peter, it looks like it but sadly I think it's just a shrunken mini MN logo.

However, I would like to petition for a commemorative royal wedding china version in the lead up to the Big Day.

MN, can we make that happen please?

Hi Peter, it's the mumsnet logo, no? Grin

Am back, missed you all too much. Bloomin hell though, what a horrible shock op!

The ins and outs of porn are by the by, the fact is your dh has kept a large part of himself secret from you, and in a marriage that is corrosive and damaging. Doesn't matter that he thought you would dislike it, he deprived you of the choice whether to accept it or not. His attitude in blaming you for telling the kids stinks. He caused this, whether accidentally or not.

Agree with Dittany, there is some major imbalance in the relationship. Does he not realise he could have been reported if the kids had friends round and they saw it? A 'family' man would surely not be so relaxed about wanking in shared space that he would 'forget' to remove his stash?

Whole thing seems very odd, especially the choice of bathroom. Hope your kids are better today.

PeterAndreForPM · 21/02/2011 13:03

it's not, it's not the MN logo

anyway, the MN logo iself is dodgy, is it not ?

I can see willies in it

glad to see you back, PL, you are one of my favourite posters < creeps >

Mouseface · 21/02/2011 13:03

dittany Grin

Can you imagine? Going for coffee to a friends/family members house, only for them to pull a load of them out of the cupboard.

WWYD? Say 'oh, what lovely mugs'

Or 'did you see that they are selling Bear in Waitrose these days?'

Followed by a comedy Wink

I've lost some Freeview channels if anyone's interested? Grin

Malificence · 21/02/2011 13:53

I've lost all my freeview channels, can't watch tv upstairs now.

Can I just clarify something? OP says her children are both teenagers, yes?

Well if that's the case, they each seem to have gained a couple of years in the last two months. Strange, no?
I hope the Op is genuinely who I believe her to be, would it be beyond the realms of possibility for someone to use a regular poster's name (but not ID )for PMing?
Fairly confused now, if you were pming a person to prove who you are, would you use your namechange or your real ID?

Mouseface · 21/02/2011 13:57

No Mal - she'd have be signed in as said poster to PM.

Ive got some Channels but not all, we're BT Vision but get Freeview.

I'm missing JK FFS! Wink

BitOfFun · 21/02/2011 13:58

I see we've had a spurious use of 'ad hominem' now. How long until Godwin's Law is applied?

If I PM'd you under a name change and said it's really me, Mal, would you take my word for it, rather than if I PM'd you under this ID and said that the name changer was actually me?
Something is bugging me.

PacificDogwood · 21/02/2011 14:04

I never new this about 'ad hominem'

Join MN, learn something new everyday Grin!

Thought I'd help you kill Fred.

As you were.

OP, I hope you are ok.
