This was a pretty stupid thing to do. Nuclear war has erupted. The trouble was that in 18 years of marriage, DH has never used porn (so far as I am aware). He never normally goes into that bathroom, whereas the DCs do. Also I did not know that he'd been at home. It never occurred to me that it was him.

Now DD is screaming at her father that he is a filthy pervert. He's screaming at me for being stupid, which in fairness it was. And I'm in shock really.

I'd say it was the least plausible explanation tbh, why would a man risk destroying his family to save his son from a bit of a telling off and a serious conversation about porn?

What about the internet history on the man's laptop?

One thing I do find extremely puzzling is why OP didn't check his computer on Saturday night, that would have been the obvious thing to do, to see the extent of his viewing habits. He obviously wasn't concerned about covering his tracks, anyone could have picked up his laptop and seen what was there.

I did wonder at the start whether it could be the teenage son and the father was trying to save the boy's embarrassment, however, since then, we have been told that the DD found evidence of porn sites on the father's laptop. So, unless the DS is using his father's laptop to view porn, it seems more likely that it was indeed the father.

My views on porn are mine and actually, are irrelevant here, just as are the views of everybody else on this thread other than the OP. She was the one who posted for advice, it does not become any of us to tell her that her views are invalid because they do not chime with the opinions of some others. She is entitled to her views and opinions, just as the rest of us are. She was not asking for our views on porn, just for advice and support to deal with the situation she is in.

Facts as we know them -

DH it was him.

DH said he fancied a 'change of scene' so used the family bathroom.

DH has pron on his laptop, discovered by DD.

DH printed images that the OP can't bring herself to post, as they are too diturbing.

DS was out all day when the pictures were found.

DD got a little upset to say that least when teh OP asked her about the pictures.
